Rogue One - Spitfire!

Respected Glasgow graffiti artist and regular at Fat Buddha, Rogue One , recently completed an amazing photo-realistic piece with fellow artist Estum. The guy has mad skills, check out more of his work on his site or at his flickr page . There is work going back many years and covers his graffiti, stencil work and also his various works in traditional art mediums. I hope he doesn't mind us showing his work, and he likes getting comments on his work via his flickr page (with work as good as this, he receives a lot of love from the flickr community!). Rogue was rocking the latest Montana Black paint, with a little bit of Montana Gold thrown in for this piece.

Scien Handstyles

123klan are a staff favourite here at Fat Buddha and Scien has just posted some of his vector handstyles on their site. Scien and Klor from the 123klan were the first graffiti artists to take their unique street art style  and cross over to mainstream graphic design, illustration, character design and branding. With a client list that reads like a who's who of style including Carhartt , Vans , Kidrobot , Zoo York and Nike , they have managed to  gather a legion of fans throughout the world while maintaining their street roots and credibility amongst the graffiti community. Klor is one of the artists featured in the Dunny Fatale blind box series , a first for Kidrobot, with all the artwork provided by female artists, designers and illustrators. In between all their other projects, they also managed to knock out a cool as hell DIY Munny for charity!

Leslie is always on at us to come up with new ways to display the stuff in the shop - spray paint is always a problem (especially with 102 different colours of Montana Black alone!). Anyway, Fubiz have spotted a nice little concept if only it were real!

Where do you go on holiday at short notice when the flights are all cancelled, Comrie

The beautiful village of Comrie in Perthshire, Scotland, lies on the banks of the River Earn nestled on the edge of the Scottish Highlands.   Comrie is in the heart of the scenic West Strathearn area of Perthshire. Situated at the meeting of Glens Lednock and Artney with the Scottish Highlands rising to the north. Called Victoria by the Romans, Comrie's original Pictish name is said to have been Aberlednock . Comrie is the Gaelic name given by the Scots who invaded in the 7-8th Cenury, it is derived from the Gaelic COMN_SHRUTH meaning 'together flowing' , the earlest recorded form of this name was COMBRAY . Those rivers (Lednock, Artney and Earn), flow through deep glens and it was to protect Roman-occupied southern Scotland from Caledonian attacks through the glens that Agricola built his fort at Comrie. In 1755 the population of the parishes was 2500 which rose by 1794 to 3000. Two world wars, the presence of a high proportion of elderly residents, the dwi
