This week is a very special Music Monday at Fat Buddha Store as the 7inch Moodymann vinyl from the Carhartt WIP x Mahogania collab has dropped in store and to top it off we have the raunchy visuals from Rihanna's work. Carhartt WIP x Mahogania Music Last week Carhartt WIP proudly presented a small and soulful collection in cooperation with none other than Detroit’s finest Kenny Dixon Jr aka Moodymann . To complete the liaison a limited 7inch vinyl will be available at Fat Buddha Store at the start of this week. It features a KDJ classic in a never released short version: Moodymann’s JAN from 2001. On the B-Side the track 5800 Cass Ave. hangs out – a brand new Moodymann tune that refers to a special address in his hometown and that comes with a running time of exactly 3.13 minutes! For Nike SB's latest shop collaboration, they’ve teamed up with their longtime friends at Skatepark of Tampa for a limited-edition skate shoe inspired by a local legend. Tampa natives all know the tall tales of José Gaspar, a Spanish pirate who’s said to have pillaged the Florida coastline over two-hundred years ago. In tribute, the salty crew at SPoT have set a course to update our classic SB Dunk High with swashbuckling details: a pair of crossed cutlasses on the toe box and a parrot-feather-inspired collar designed to fray with wear, so no two pairs end up the same. The drop-in sockliner—emblazoned with a cache of gold doubloons—features a built in Nike Zoom Air unit for responsive cushioning, while the sturdy nubuck upper is ready for any skirmish. This week's outfit grid takes pieces from Wood Wood's Spring/Summer 2016 collection and combines them with stables from Carhartt WIP and Converse to create a streamlined workwear aesthetic. For this look we have taken heavily from Wood Wood's S/S 2016 collection. The Kael Workwear Jacket from Wood Wood is a minimal American workwear inspired Coach Jacket with subtle detailing that will keep any purist happy while their Square Logo t-shirt in black/white continues the monochrome colour palette. For bottoms we have used Carhartt's regular fitting skill pants in complimentary black which look great pin rolled or simply rolled up. For footwear we have used an old classic Converse's All Star. This heritage shoe looks great with almost any outfit and adds a classic American touch to this workwear look. Streetwear imprint HUF have headed to the great outdoors for their beautifully shot Spring 2016 video lookbook. Filmed on a road trip through the wilderness of the Sierra Nevada mountain range the video encompasses the full range from apparel to footwear. The American streetwear label's collection take it's inspiration from the USA with classic American workwear silhouettes, camo flourishes and black bandanna patchwork prints. This week FKA Twigs returns with her new single and that rumored Grammy performance of Lauryn Hill and The Weeknd just happened on the Jimmy Fallon Show. FKA Twigs - "Good To Love" FKA twigs returns with her first single of 2016 dubbed "Good To Love". Debuting the track at the Manchester International Festival it features her own production along with Rock Nowels. After a successful collaboration last year respected labels Puma and ALIFE have joined forces once again on a capsule collection consisting of footwear and apparel. The latest collection is inspired by New York along with football, or soccer to our American cousins, and features a selection of apparel that welcomes PUMA’s Archive No. 1 logo and ALIFE’s 158 print, as well as a series of footwear drops. From the collection we have taken the Soccer Sweat along with the R698 and Blaze of Glory silhouettes. The bold graphics on the sweat are inspired by the "Welcome to Fear City" pamphlets that were distributed to tourists back in 1975 when New York gained a reputation for crime and vice. The Blaze of Glory is constructed from a mix of nubuck and neoprene and the sick colourway is complimented with a speckled black midsole.
