One of our most popular and favourite shoe's here at Fat Buddha Store over the past year has been the Gibson Brogue from Sanders , so it's great to see some new additions to our collection in the form of the Alfie Brogue shoe shown above in light tan and in theTeak Brown shown further down. Established in Rushden, Northamptonshire, in 1873 by the brothers William and Thomas Sanders, the company’s aim was to supply outstanding quality footwear to discerning customers.   The two brothers and their band of five skilled craftsmen selected the finest English hides and the very best local oak-bark tanned soles, and there began the tradition of designing and making the gentlemen’s footwear for which the name Sanders & Sanders is world-famous today. We were very pleased to welcome the first of our many Adidas delivery's yesterday, in the shape of the brands Tobacco model in Tahiti Blue (Argentina Blue & Bluebird). One of Adidas' most famous shoes, the Tobacco is re-issued for SS14 in premium vintage suede. This highly versatile trainer is a casual favourite, due to its simple design, slim profile and exceptional comfort. A true Adidas classic this re-issue is finished with leather lined collar, tonal lace stay and accented by a subtle gum sole unit. The shoe has nearly sold out in a matter of hours, with only one pair being left as I right this. You can check out some pictures below. We would like to say a massive thank you to all the customers, DJ's, brands and everyone who helped out at our Xmas party on Thursday Night (12th December). Originally developed for scientists working in Antarctica, the Expedition Parka is one of Canada Goose most iconic and warmest parkas. The Polar Bears International version of the beloved classic has just arrived at Fat Buddha Store and features PBI’s logo and signature blue colour. As well, $25 from each purchase will be donated to PBI, supporting the conservation of polar bear habitats through research and education. The Expedition Parka itself is one of the brands most famous jackets. It has appeared in a number of movies with some of the worlds biggest actors and presenters wearing it's supreme goose down warmth. (Matt Damon, Hilary Duff, Hayden Christensen, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jessica Alba, Nicolas Cage etc) and also research scientists representing the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. In this weeks Music Monday we present the boys from Vicious Creatures whom are providing this weeks medley of all things house. Kicking off this Thursday (12th) Vicious Creatures have invited Clockwork to grace the Sub Club's sound system and hold things down for the Life and Death record label, a motley crew of DJ's, Promoters and Musicians each one bringing their own aspect of the party lifestyle to the table. With the ethos of the Vicious Creatures night brewed on the Sub Clubs own dance floor, the night gives back to the original warmth and passion provided by the Sub Club sound system and serves as an escape from the mundane weekend escapades on show in Glasgow. This Vicious Creatures night see's a combination of resident Dj's Forbes and Lárus add to the night to help boost an already powerful energy. After taking stock of Nike 's great Lunar Force 1 in Black/Reflect a little while back, we now have the pack available in all three colour options. One of Nike 's most classic styles gets a great overhaul, using premium fabrics and a new sole unit. Carhartt's great new Camera Strap has just landed at Fat Buddha Store, and is the perfect addition for any photographers out there. The Camera Strap fits all SLR and compact cameras and is made of 25mm flat nylon webbing with an adjustable length fitting. The strap can be used as sling, shoulder or neck strap and includes two sets of interchangeable connectors for standard loops for point and shoot and Micro 43rd. Felix Da Housecat will be tearing up Glasgow’s Berkeley Suite tonight (23rd November) for another set of house music and electroclash. His reinterpretation of songs by Pet Shop Boys, Kylie Minogue and Nina Simone has made him one of the most dominant remixers and producers on the planet. Only NY have worked with New York native artists Snoeman, Eric Haze, Curve and Andy Rementer but to name a few and have this season taken to creating some simple, playful and retro inspired graphic focusing on old school sportswear pieces for the base of this release. This Saturday night (Sat 16th Nov) legendary DJ and producer Daniele Baldelli takes control of the music in one of Glasgow's most intimate  and greatest clubs The Berkeley Suite for this rare special appearance. The self-titled “oldest DJ in Italy”, is the founding father of the Cosmic disco sound. His creative blend of disco, funk, jazz, synth pop, reggae, electronic music, and African and Brazilian records – often played slower or faster – introduced many club-goers to a new mix of rhythm and sound. Hailing from the town of Cattolica in Northern Italy, Daniele made his DJ debut at 17 at local clubs Tana and Tabu, before graduating to the seminal Baia Degli Angeli, a glamorous VIP club whose DJ booth was in a glass elevator. This led to Daniele’s long residency at the Cosmic club by Lake Garda that opened in Italy in 1979.
