Outfit of the Week - Carhartt WIP, Edwin, Obey, Reebok

Image
Work the pastel trend and get noticed this summer with this week's latest outfit grid. Fresh from Reebok , in this sun drenched pastel shade known as Porcelain Pink, is the brand's Club C 85 silhouette; looking as fine today as it did when it was first released back in the 80s. This latest version of the silhouette is constructed from premium leather with the bold colour-blocking covering everything from the branding, laces to sole. Prototypical features such as the EVA midsole for comfort and the hard wearing rubber outsole have been retained so they're giving us comfort as well as a bold aestetic. Running with this shade of pink we paired the sneakers with this classic Americana Felpa Sweatshirt from Edwin and Carhartt WIP's Mack Shirt . Keep the look preppy with these Master Pant 's also from Carhartt WIP . The fit on these is regular with a low rise which keeps the profile more contemporary. Finishing the look and pulling the whole thing t

Reebok - Elemantal Pack

Released way back in the 80s the Club C 85 from Reebok looks as good today as it did back then. Forgoing classic colourways this latest model comes in three summer ready sun drenched pastel shades called Sea Grey, Fresh Blue and Porcelain Pink. This latest edition gets the premium treatment with choice leather the length of the upper all sitting atop a super comfortable EVA midsole and a durable upper outsole. Elevating these above your regular sneaker the block colouring is carried through to the laces, branding, lining and sole unit with the understated detailing on the model letting the bold colour do the talking.  Shop all the colourway from the Elemental Pack here .

This iconic American workwear silhouette sits at the hip with several large pockets adorning it. The look is finished off with a beautiful contrasting moleskin collar.  We've used another American menswear pioneer for the shirting with this look as well. This Steersman shirt from Patagonia has a classic check pattern and comes in this great complimentary red/brown colourway. The cotton on this shirt is super light; ideal for the summer weather. For bottoms we have gone with Edwin's si

Going Out - The Sweet Life • Nightmares On Wax

Image
The Sweet Life are bringing the Nightmares On Wax back to The Berkeley Suite! Constantly touring worldwide bringing that nightmarish vibe that's more like a dream to listen to on the dance floor, DJ Ease was one of the first troops to release both a Late Night Tales mix and DJ Kicks Mix in the early 00s. His Boiler Room mixes are some of the most viewed on youtube with such eclectic sets that smoothly blend hip-hop, house and disco. An incredible producer who samples heavily from his own vinyl collection, he’s the real deal and surely knows a thing or two about living the Sweet life out in Ibiza! Sadly no Sweet Life parties in May apart from a wee cameo at the Chinaskis Garden Party… https://www.facebook.com/ events/302896763480950/ Other realities - Tix from £8 online at Eventcube. Ticket link https:// theberkeleysuite.eventcube. io/ We are keeping 80 tickets on the door for the troops!

Adidas - BW Army

Image
Confirming the old adage that less is sometimes more is the unbranded cult Germany Army Trainer known as the BW Army . With a somewhat confusing and ambiguous history what is known is that this iconic model began it's life as a standard issue trainer for the pre-reunification West German military; with it's deliberately understated silhouette proving to be it's biggest asset. This low-key leather sneaker has remained somewhat under the radar for most people but has inspired some of fashion's biggest players such as Maison Margiela, Dior Homme and Adidas; with each of them producing their own versions of the clean silhouette. Moving on from the luxe paint-splattered, fluorescent, even woven interpretation of the silhouette from Maison Margiela and Dior's Hedi Slimane Adidas have stripped it back to basics. This paired back version is available in two colourways: black and white, with the upper crafted from leather and suede. The model does away with the brand

Outfit of the Week - Carhartt WIP, Clarks, Edwin, Fjallraven, Patagonia

Image
This week's outfit grid is a laid back summer look full of sun-bleached pastel shades and summer ready pieces. Lets start the look with a summer essential... shorts. While the weather hasn't exactly been short appropriate the last couple of days we're staying confident that sunshine is just round the corner and if not holiday season is. These ones from Patagonia are great, not only do they look fresh as hell thanks to the slick dusty blue colourway they're also the perfect shape; not too short, not too long and neither too baggy nor too tight. Turning heads with this bold colour combination we've added this mint Pocket Tee from Edwin and layered it with this short sleeved Orlando Shirt from Carhartt WIP with summery stripes.  Keeping the colours bold with the footwear we have gone with one of our favourite shoes this season the Weaver from Clarks in complimentary blue with a sick crepe sole unit. Finishing the look is this handy sized Kanken bag

Fat Buddha Store Look - Smarten Up

Image
The term smart casual is as ubiquitous as it is exasperating; this ambiguously defined dress-code can be a difficult one to master. In the spirit of this in our latest Fat Buddha Store look , our in-house photo editorial series highlighting some of summer's most season defining trends, we have put together our  take on dressed streetwear. A shirt is a great way to smarten up any look. However, try avoiding dress shirts to stop overkill; simple rule if a shirt would work with a suit it's not gonna work with denims. The shirt we have selected for this look comes from Carhartt WIP and is made from a summer ready light cotton. A classic check pattern has been reworked with a contemporary colour palette of pinks and dove greys. While denim may seem to belong on the casual side of the spectrum a pair of high quality jeans, like these constructed from fine Japanese Nihama denim, can elevate any look. The cut on the Oakland Pant seen here is a classic regular fit with a straight
