Our first musical offering for July features the controversial video from pop provocateur Rihanna, grime pioneer Skepta's track Back Then as well Action Bronson's latest offering Voodoo. Rihanna - "Bitch Better Have My Money"  Pop provocateur Rihanna returns with the controversial video for her new track "Bitch Better Have Money". The song, produced in association with Kayne West and Travi$ Scott, was released back in March and is due to feature on her forthcoming eighth album. The track and video were inspired by Rihanna's dealing with an accountant who mishandled her finances back in 2009 and is seemingly a cathartic expression for the Barbadian songstress. This weeks Music Monday comes courtesy of Chicagoan hip hop artist Chance the Rapper! With the release of his newest mixtape 'Acid Rap', Chance has recently drawn comparisons to the likes of Kanye West and Andre 300, so he must be doing something right! Chance the Rapper, or Chancelor Bennett to give him his full name, started to show a passion for music from an early age, forming the group 'Instrumentality' with a friend in his freshman year of high school. By his senior year of high school in 2012, as Chance puts it, his teachers weren't supportive of his dreams to make it in music, ultimately leading to a 10 day suspension which was a blessing in disguise as he used the time to record his first mixtape under the 'Chance the Rapper' moniker, ingeniously titled '10 Day'. '10 Day' brought Chance into many peoples consciousness, with the mixtape being downloaded over 20,000 times on Dat Piff, but its his newest mixtape ...

Arian Allisani aka Action Bronson is an interesting character. Born in Flushing, Queens to Albanian immigrant parents, Bronson first entered into a career in fine cuisine and became well respected as a fire-flame gourmet chef in New York City, before later deciding to give it a shot at being an MC. Not that he has left his fine cooking roots behind him, far from it, his rhymes are very often punctuated with metaphors and punchlines about food and cooking and he hosts his own online cooking show called 'Action in the Kitchen'. It's clear that Bronson still has a real passion for cooking but his career as an MC has skyrocketed. Since his debut album 'Dr Lecter' was released in 2011, Bronson has been on a steady rise to the top, with co-signs from some of the biggest names in hip hop, collaborations with The Alchemist, Party Supplies, Kool G Rap and Statik Selektah amongst others.
