Fresh for summer is one of the most eye catching Dunk colourways of all time. Skateboarding imprint Nike SB have teamed up with California native and renowned artist Thomas Campbell on this once in a lifetime edition.  The shoe comes as part of Nike's "What The..." series and features a canvas upper with a multicolour colourway consisting of different textures and patterns each designed by the artist. The shoe sits a top a crisp white midsole, with matching laces, and an always popular gum outsole to allow the bold graphics to steal the show. When originally launched in the 1980s the Dunk High was a favorite on the West Coast basketball courts and has evolved into a skateboarding favorite thanks to it's responsive cushioning, powerful grip and street-ready aesthetic. This latest edition has a low-profile outsole and excellent board control thanks to a range of enhanced features. This model is outfitted with a full-length foam midsole with Nike Zoom Air technology at the hell for durability and impact protection to cushion hard landings. The outsole is made from a flexible rubber with a forefoot pivot circle which helps with board direction and provides powerful grip. The upper is constructed from a breathable textile with strategic suede overlays which offer support and durability. This version features a black upper with tiger print throughout, black leather swoosh branding to the side panel and a bold yellow and orange sole unit. Straight off the bat you can see where the inspiration for Nike SB's latest version of their dunk silhouette comes from with its red/black checked tongue, collar and liner along with indigo denim fabric the length of the upper meant to represent the sartorial choices of a Lumberjack. This model is as ergonomically hard wearing as anything a lumberjack would need as well with a sturdy denim fabric the length of the upper, padded lining and durable outsole. Nike 's most recent collaboration with Eric Haze has just dropped instore, and is looking right on the money. Eric Haze ’s art of graffiti was appreciated underground on the streets. By the early 90s Haze started his own line of clothing and accessories as his popularity continued to grow in New York, LA, and in Japan. Haze also worked with a host of major companies for logo and image design. In the summer of 2003, Nike released their first collaborative project, which was the Nike Dunk in limited numbers in the UK, NY, LA, and Japan. Still today, nearly 5 years later, these Dunks are highly sought after selling for well over $400 in new condition.
