Dunny Two Tone

Image
I'm an avid collector of Dunnys , and I thought that the 2010 series were some of the best they've done since the French series a few years back. I was expecting a couple of average dunny series' to come out before I got excited again, but they've followed up with this two tone series which looks amazing. Hopefully we'll be getting them in soon and I'll personally be getting my mitts on them as soon as they're through the door. ©

Dunny Collection

Image
I love nothing more than chatting with fellow dunny collectors when they come in to the shop....which ones have they got?, what are their favourites? and what one do they REALLY want!? My wife and I have been collecting for a few years now, after randomly popping in to Fat Buddha ,  and have got quite a nice collection building up. We buy one each and for some reason my wife always gets the coolest looking and rarest ones (she even has a collection on her desk at work, which is where any doubles end up).  If we get the same one for a third time, I get to work on it ...woohoo! Here's about a quarter of our collection (I'll get the rest photographed once we get another couple of display stands for them). This is our Dunny shelf, with dunny's from ye Olde English Series , Series 5 , Dunny Fatale, and the French Series. I'll be after a couple of the 2010 series on pay day!  For the eagle-eyed dunny collectors amongst you, there are a couple in our wee group that I guar...

Custom Donnie Dunny

Image
What do you do if you get a duplicate blind box dunny ? Well Blak customizes them to add to his and his wife's growing collection. This was once a series 5 blind box dunny and after a good few hours of stripping the original artwork, sculpting, sanding, painting (then stripping the paint because it reacted badly with the modelling clay), and painting again - he created a unique one-off custom dunny based on the creepy rabbit, Frank, from Donnie Darko (one of his favourite films). Contrary to various model-making blogs and forums, the Montana Gold Silverchrome seems to have worked out pretty nicely on this paint job. Look out for a couple more of Blak's custom vinyl figures on the blog in future

Zombie Dunny

Image
Argentinean illustrator, Patricio Oliver, brings us a ghoul of a Dunny. Zombie Pet is kinda cute, if it wasn't for all the flesh eating. This GID, undead predator is made of translucent, blue vinyl and printed with glow-in-the-dark bones, for a distinctly ghoulish (but adorable) look. How much is that zombie in the window? Available now online at http://www.fatbuddhastore.com/ or come instore and hand over £30

Image
Well, Thursday gone and we sold out of the Pink 8" dunny, only 1 of the Black one left, and its sitting by itself looking lonesome. I have to thank Thomas for helping us sell out so quickly, he spread the word through the Kid Robot & Octane 3 forms, you should check out his customs, his work can be found at http://www.dinosauria.co.uk/ , his work really is marvellous and were pretty glad we snapped him up as our sponsored artist before anyone else did.
