Legendary alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. have influenced many of the greatest bands that emerged in the 90's and 00's such as Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Kyuss, but lets not forget that Dinosaur Jr. are so influential because they make great music! Formed in the mid-80's amongst the DIY hardcore punk movement of the era, a movement which founding Dinosaur Jr. members J.Mascis and Lou Marlow had very much been a part of in their punk band Deep Wound which split in 1984, Mascis and Marlow took their punk sensibilities but applied them to an altogether more melodic and mellower sound.
