Nike Air Max 1 FB

Image
Nike 's great Air Max 1 FB has arrived in store at Fat Buddha Store , and has been shifting like hot cakes. With a lot of Yeezy-inspired colourways bouncing around the market recently, this new Nike Air Max 1 FB model definitely strikes a Kanye cord. However West as these minty Max FBs seem, they're actually based upon the Nike Elastico Finale II – part of the Nike Football FC247 collection . Nike used the striking contrast of fresh mint and brooding black throughout this sizzling number. Finishing of the colour concerto with accents of pink flash through the insole, outsole and midsole. This shoe is set to be gold dust, with it selling out in a few minutes of it's official release at Titolo. These are in store now and if they last long enough they will be online at Fat Buddha Store tomorrow. The Nike Air Max 1 FB sits alongside lots more Air Max and loads more from our great Nike Range.

Nike Air Safari!!!

Image
So we just got a delivery of Nike this week...as well as about 20 other deliveries which is why we haven't been as active as we should be, sorry about that :). In with this Nike delivery was the very cool Nike Air Safari, we have it in the Natural Grey/Anthracite/Yellow colour way as seen here: These are the latest addition to the Safari collection and features a combination of smooth black leather panels with safari print panels as well as yellow mesh. The tongue is also made of black mesh while there is also the black and white mid sole. For me however the soul of these sneakers has to be the sole (See what I did there? ;)) they are without doubt the coolest soles on any sneaker commercially available for me right now. Don't just take my word for it however, have a wee swatch for yourself: A combination of Safari and Camo prints in the unmistakable colours of the trainers themselves. Hats off to Nike they've knocked another one out of the park. These trai...

New Nike Cortez

Image
Two new vintage-style colourways arrived this week from Nike of the classic Cortez . The Cortez features a light nylon upper and a jagged sole - which completes this throwback look. The shoe was created by Bill Bowerman for Nike in the 60's. Bowerman and Phil Knight initially began importing the Onitsuka Tiger running shoes from Japan to sell in the States. Bowerman's design ideas led to the creation of a running shoe in 1966 that would ultimately be named " Cortez " in 1968, which quickly became a top-seller and remains one of Nike's most iconic footwear designs. Bowerman designed several Nike shoes, but is best known for ruining his wife's waffle iron in 1970 or 1971, experimenting with the idea of using waffle-ironed rubber to create a new sole for footwear that would grip but be lightweight. Nike Air Max 95

Image
Nike Air Max 95 trainers have become one the best selling trainers of all time and an icon in their own right. Released in 1995 (The name says it all really) the shoe was the first of it's kind. It featured the Air Max cushioning system in both the heel and forefoot which was a first for Nike . Along with the Air Max heel which was compressed to different pressures came great cushioning, giving superior heel support to the wearer. The visual design of the Air Max 95 was based on the human anatomy, with the spine of the shoe resembling the human spine and the materials intended to represent skin. Initally released as a running shoe the Air Max 95 became a massive shoe of sheer fashion. You can’t blame someone for falling in love with this shoe, it is quite striking and is also very popular among sneaker heads & collectors. A huge hit during its release, the Air Max 95 was produced in a variety of colorways and has been reissued numerous times throughout the years. Some pop...

Cortez

Image
Just last week took delivery of a proper 'classic' Nike shoe: The Cortez. 'Classic' gets thrown around a bit too much for my liking, but anyone into their shoes can't deny these are proper old skool! If you don't know your Cortez history heres a bit I got from the Nike website: In 1972, Nike’s guru, Bill Bowerman, knew that athletes needed a well-cushioned shoe that could take the punishment of 100 miles per week pounding the pavement. The first model was made with leather, but he figured out how to reduce the weight using upper of nylon – lightweight and quick drying – and suede, which holds the form of the toe without restricting the foot. http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifhttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif The Cortez introduced the first full-length, dual-density foam mid-sole for comfort and shock absorption, the denser foam thoughtfully placed where the foot needed it the most. A Herringbone rubber outsole completed the revolution. If that tickles your ...
