Last night saw the Arches played host to Glasgow's underground fashion scene with Nightwalk SS2012. Nightwalk is a bi annual event that showcases the cream of Glasgow's independent fashion, combining fashion from up and coming Scottish designers with electronic music, art, photography and performance. The event which not only acts as a platform for Glaswegian creatives to showcase their latest designs, artwork and overall talent. But also supports the local charity St. Margarets Hospice, meaning all the money raised goes to a good cause. This really is the place to discover Scotland's up and coming fashion designers and models as well as the best in Scotland's fashion labels such as Obscure Couture , Isolated Heroes , Dawntroversial Shoes and much much more. So here it is the video we put together of the Fat Buddha x Carhartt Spring Launch Party we held in store last month. Fat Buddha x Carhartt Spring Launch Party from Fat Buddha Store on Vimeo . We really went all out for this one with a specially painted Carhartt window, had the dressing room decorated in Carhartt wallpaper and Carhartt displays throughout the store including the Carhartt x 5Boro display, exclusive to Fat Buddha. A massive thanks to everyone who came along and Carhartt for all of their support. Thanks also to Bier Halle for supplying the drinks and DJ Auntie Flo for providing the soundtrack to the party. To celebrate the launch of the Carhartt Spring 2012 range here at Fat Buddha we are throwing a special after hours shopping party .  The party will take place in store on Thursday 5th April when we will have the full Carhartt Spring 2012 collection available instore. The event is invite only and those attending will be entitled to a 15% discount on all Carhartt products on the night as well as being in with the chance to win one of 50 special Carhartt goody bags. The Bier Halle , Glasgow's specialist for continental beers and rustic pizzas will be joining us for the evening providing drinks including draught beer. Music will be provided by Glaswegian based up and coming DJ/Producer Auntie Flo .  Holding residencies  at clubs in both Glasgow and London and releasing his debut album later this year 2012 looks to be his year. Well that's us into the month of March now, and with that we hope the beginning of spring. A season that generates different emotions for everyone. I know for every person (like me) that loves the fact there's a little bit more sunshine, there will be an equal amount of people dreading the fact that the pollen count is starting to rise and hay-fever might be rearing its ugly head again. While I hate the fact that the bee's and wasps are starting to re-appear I love the fact it's getting a bit warmer in our little country and I can finally start to wear shorts again!
