Going Out - Electric Frog - Easter Weekend

Image
Glasgow's favourite boutique festival Electric Frog returns to SWG3 with it's now notorious Easter Weekender and it's shaping up to be outstanding, and an event not to be missed. Saturday 30th March they have a monster line up as Simian Mobile Disco headline - be warned that this is a full on party set as we discovered when checking it out last year, this is 3 hours of hedonism! Going Out - Todd Terje

Image
This Saturday Glasgow's Sub Club plays host to Norway's disco prince Todd Terje alongside residents Harri and Dom for Subculture. Be prepared for a touch of everything from his own personal edits and upfront gems that will have everyone getting down. He's known for all ways bringing a good vibe with a great selection and this is not likely to be any different. With a strong influence from his older Norwegian counterparts Lindstrom  and Prins Thomas, Todd Terje has been an excitiing prospect with the release of excellently crafted disco/house tracks such as Eurodans and Ragysh and is know for his own personal edits ranging from Roxy Music to Diana Ross to Adam Ant. Prepare for something very special on Saturday. You just know the place is gonna go off when he drops "Inspector Norse" his latest track which has been tearing up dancefloors all summer. It so simple but so catchy, perfect.

Music Monday - Todd Terje

You may have already heard of "Todd Terje" if not you will soon with the release of his infectious "Inspector Norse" single, which is looking to be one of the catchiest, exciting and probably one of the most simple dance tracks of the summer if not the year. The video for it is pretty funny too, keep your eyes peeled for the full short movie version to be released pretty soon. Originally from Norway Todd Terje is a DJ/Producer who would be placed in the Nu-Disco genre. He started to build a large undergound following after he put out early re-edits and his debut single Euro dans, which has summer written all over. He's got one hell of a tache an all. The Norwegian based DJ/Producer who studied Physics at Oslo University is likely to have been influenced by fellow Norwegians Lindstrom and Prins Tomas, in creating modern disco and some really excellent re-edits of old disco classics such as Chic - I want your love. Luckily for us here in Glasgow Todd...
