In 2015 Jon Tang turned a life long passion into a footwear brand of his own, forming Fronteer. Jang studied at the University of Texas gaining a Bachelors degree in fine art and design, before going to work for Puma as a graphic designer. After working as the lead footwear designer for K-Swiss, Jang had built up enough knowledge and confidence to start a footwear company of his own. His love of the outdoors and NASA’s space programme became the main influence for his collections, taking pieces of his influence childhood and transforming it into reality.
