Montana Rust Effect Spray Paint - How to Use (tips & Tricks)

Image
One of the most recent (and most popular) additions to Montana's Effect range is the Montana's Rust Effect Spray . You may have seen some amazing looking pictures online of the effect used on various craft projects from plant pots to furniture and thought how would I achieve that? Well look no further with this handy how to guide!  Although the onset of rust can be a sign of decay, weathering, or deterioration, it can also be a beautiful look of something being old and used. Sometimes, while being creative, there are moments when you wished mother nature could come in and lend you a hand to make something look as if it has been aged or used. But how is this possible when you’re using non oxidizing materials like wood, stone, ceramic, cardboard, pre primed synthetic materials such as foam, or canvas? It wasn’t possible, that is until now thanks to the Montana RUST Effect Spray 400ml.  In Montana's “ How to use Montana RUST Effect Spray “, it is shown how this fle...

New Montana Gold Colour - Fluorescent Active Cyan F6200

Image
Ever since the introduction of the new Montana GOLD Fluorescent color F6200 Active Cyan, there have been many artists wanting to get their hands on it to give it a go. Wondering what the Active Cyan can do both in natural light, and in darkness under UV light. A test run of a different sort. One of those keen artists that Montana knew would give the Active Cyan a real workout was German artist Horst. Known for several periods in his creative process where he used only the color black for outlines and details to single colored pieces, we had the feeling that Horst was not only going to highlight the outstanding properties of the Montana GOLD Fluorescent line but also make some graffiti style writing innovations at the same time.  In what appeared to be a tranquil unused industrial space, the adventure started with nothing more than a white wall and multiple cans of Active Cyan. A single color fill-in meant there was nowhere to hide, both for the quality of the product w...

ORTLIEB - Brand Profile

Image
Discovering, traveling, cycling, being outdoors — that's where it all started. And that's what everything revolves around today with ORTILIEB bike bags. At ORTLIEB , that is what they work for every day. They want to reinvent themselves every day and develop products that meet the highest demands. Sewn products were the beginnings of ORTLIEB , when in 1982, Harmut started experimenting in front of his mother's sewing machine. The seams of the pockets were taped so that they were almost leakproof. However, this type of "waterproofness" proved insufficient for long and intensive use. That is why Hartmut Ortlieb introduced the, what is now-known as, high-frequency welding technology back in 1984.  Only products made with this special technology —including the weld seams— are absolutely waterproof up to 100,000 mm water column. A true technical milestone! For comparison: an average tent has a water column of 10,000 mm.     Adventure and discovering nature...

Spray Bike - Bike Spray

Image
Spray Bike  is a collaboration between three different companies: Brick Lane Bikes – a major international manufacturer, retailer and wholesaler in the bike industry, based in London Vicious Cycles Athens – an urban bike workshop in the centre of Athens, Greece Cosmos Lac – a high-tech paint manufacturer based in Greece Spray Bike was created out of frustration with existing products. If you’re not an experienced pro, it’s so difficult to use metal or car spray paint on bikes. It drips and dribbles and is extremely hard to control. And professional electrostatic or powder coating can get super expensive. At VCA, while trying to repair a damaged frame using a standard RAL spray, they were so disappointed with the results that they phoned up the manufacturer, which happened to be Cosmos Lac. “Well what do you want the paint to do?” was the reply. After 2 years of development, Spray Bike was the answer. VCA and Cosmos Lac sent samples over to Brick Lane Bi...
