Here at the shop , I Absolutely cannot get enough of the new White Lies album Ritual which came out last week! Nowhere near as good as the first White Lies album - 'To Lose My Life' which was released in 2008, its still a banger none the less! Top 10 albums of MMX.

Another year of absolute bangers and complete shleng. I somehow managed to sift through alot of good stuff and alot of dross and come up with ten releases that have shaped my year emotionally in some form or another. In no order: * Hurts - Happiness * Lostprophets - The Betrayed * Foals - Total Life Forever * More Than Life - Love Let Me Go * Deftones - Diamond Eyes * Mystery Jets - Serotonin * Drake - Thank Me Later * Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Fantasy * Delphic - Acolyte * Surfer Blood - Astro Coast Honourable mentions need to go to: * Crime In Stereo - I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone * Kings of Leon - Come Around Sundown * The Courteeners - Falcon * Eminem - Recovery * Uffie - Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans There was a few more that didnt quite make it but I had to be tough with myself. Neil Diamond 'Home Before Dark'

This album conitinues where the last one left off, and is sublime, Rick Reuben is a master, if he could only sit Rod Stewart down and perform id genius on him, id die a happy man. Bought this lil beauty in my local Asda, saturday night and im buying Neil Diamond albums & Chocolate ice cream, not the most rock n roll saturday night, but in fairness none of them ever are. If you do edecide to buy an album then it needs to be this one, fantastic sound and some of the best songs this year 80 Hartford Courant Like much of Diamond's canon, these songs are rich with melodramatic flare-ups. 80 NOW Magazine This is understated folk pop, and as a result, some may be disappointed by the lack of big pop hooks. However, for those of us who always found Diamond overwrought and too extroverted, this restraint is refreshing and welcome. 80 All Music Guide Home Before Dark offers aesthetic proof that "12 Songs" was no fluke.
