Edwin continue to show case their innovative fabrics and fabrication techniques with their latest Fall/Winter lookbook. Drawing inspiration from a mix of military silhouettes and streetwear, Edwin’s outwear heavy lookbook continues to show their forward thinking approach to true craftsmanship. The "E Standard" from Edwin returns to Fat Buddha Store with two fits across three options with the Modern Regular Tapered in stretch denim taking centre stage. The addition of silver hardware and a single stitch back pocket arcuate enhances the minimal and contemporary visual aesthetic. The more traditional aspect of the E Standard Collection includes the Classic Regular Tapered and Classic Regular Straight in signature Rainbow Selvage, offered in dark used and raw state wash treatments. All options feature a traditional leather back patch with the Edwin Japan slogan 'THE PRIDE OF MADE IN JAPAN.' The Edwin E Standard is a unique product, with no direct competition in terms of premium quality and a Made in Japan provenance. Available now in store and  online .

Japanese imprint Edwin having been making premium denim for generations including a range of the most venerated denim, Selvedge. We stock several variations of the Selvedge in a range of cuts from regular to tapered to slim. For the uninitiated Selvage is made using a loom that dispenses with modernized techniques to produce a classic artisan finish. Selvedge is often characterized by a denser weave that is tighter than their non-selvedge cousins. Selvedge by it's nature is finely bound at the edges and does not fray or unravel at the edges as regular denim often does. The “self-edge” is what gives the various distinct colours (red, white, rainbow), a practice fabric mills follow to differentiate between fabrics. Edwin denim are loved by denim heads, streetwear enthusiasts and menswear aficionados the world over. Known for their exquisite denim and the various ways in which they have revolutionised and invigorated the denim industry, Edwin are truly a world leader and one of the best at their craft.   That's why it is so exciting to hear that they have teamed up with fellow skilled craftsmen Blitz Motorcycles for the second time. Blitz Motorcycles was founded in 2010 in Paris by Fred Jourden and Hugo Jezegabel with the sole intention of creating custom, one of a kind motorbikes with a true, gritty, old school feel. Edwin and Blitz Motorcycles have teamed up once before to create a brilliant line of motorbike inspired clothing and they are back at it again with some more cracking pieces. The Edwin X Lavenham Lifesaver Set is in store now and we have the exclusive limited collaboration between the original masters of the quilted jacket, Lavenham and original Japanese denim brand Edwin to create a small outerwear collection consisting of a jacket and a gillet. We could not be happier to see two brands that we stock and value highly coming together to create a collection that draws inspiration from both brands history and ethos of high production quality. Both items are made from a unique "Black Wool" fabric that has been developed exclusively for the project. It may not look like it but this is actually denim, 9.5oz that has been havily brushed in order to create the unique "Black Wool" finish which is soft to the touch. A new delivery from Tokyo denim giants Edwin has just arrived instore at Fat Buddha Store , bringing us some great new styles and differnt washes of remaining styles. Established in Japan in 1947 by Mr Tsunemi who had a passion for denim. He began to import them directly from the United States as no denim was manufactured in Japan at that time. In 1951 domestically manufactured denim was available for the first time in Japan. The product was expensive and inferior in quality compared to its American counterparts. Mr Tsumeni was driven to create his own denims, with greater sophistication in fits, washes and quality. From this point on in Edwin denim history, quality, craftsmanship, innovation and integrity have been the main ethos and aesthetic of the brand. In 1961 the first pair of Edwin jeans were born, crafted by Mr Tsunemi. Using the letters D, E, N, I & M (reversing the M creating a W) he created the brand name ‘Edwin’. For Valentine's Day 2012 we decided put together a lookbook with a difference, featuring some of our favourite brands in store including ONLY New York, Undefeated, Diamond Supply Co, Carharrt, Edwin, Vans, Nike, Puma and HUF. Sick of the same old soppy, cheesy Valentine's poems and cards we see year in year out we thought we would create a card with a twist. That's us had a few new deliveries in from Edwin in the past few weeks.  All we can say is the spring collection is looking really good. As per usual the denims and chinos haven't disappointed but the Edwin clothing is stronger than ever. In store now we have the EC Pocket Tee in both indigo and natural heather colourways.  This is a really nice spring tee with front pocket detail featuring an emroidered Edwin rainbow logo. The Edwin selvedge tab at the bottom is such a nice little touch. In store and online at Fat Buddha we have EDWIN.  EDWIN is a Japanese brand known primarily for its denims. established 1947 by founder Mr Tsunemi who was tired of Japans inferior quality denim to its American counterpart. This strong passion for denim drove Mr Tsunemi to create his own denims with better fits, washes and all round higher quality.  This mentality for quality, craftmanship and innovation have been carried to become an ethos for the EDWIN brand. From then on they went from strength to strenght creating the first 'old wash' denim, inventing stonewash and influencing every denim company in existence today.
