Today we present you the Outfit of the Week chosen by one of our staff member: Craig. In this outfit, he has only chosen two brands: Edwin Jeans and Converse . Two labels that have a character and history behind them. For the top, he picked the Longsleeve Terry Striped Tee in Washed Red/Black, a nice and soft made cotton t-shirt with a little patch at the 'unfinished' hem for the branding. Bottom wise, he has chosen the ED-55 Red Selvedge, a classic piece from Edwin Jeans. A robust and one of a kind pair of jeans finished with the red selvedge to give you that extra touch when you roll up your denim. For the accessories, we have the Democratique Socks from Edwin Jeans with those two stripes and Japanese writing, we also have the Kurt Beanie in black for those kind of bed head days even in summer. The term smart casual is as ubiquitous as it is exasperating; this ambiguously defined dress-code can be a difficult one to master. In the spirit of this in our latest Fat Buddha Store look , our in-house photo editorial series highlighting some of summer's most season defining trends, we have put together our  take on dressed streetwear. A shirt is a great way to smarten up any look. However, try avoiding dress shirts to stop overkill; simple rule if a shirt would work with a suit it's not gonna work with denims. The shirt we have selected for this look comes from Carhartt WIP and is made from a summer ready light cotton. A classic check pattern has been reworked with a contemporary colour palette of pinks and dove greys. One of this season's defining brands for us has been American outdoor-wear masters Patagonia . From humble beginnings in the 70s when rock climber and early environmentalist Yvon Chouinard started importing rugby shirts from Scotland, that he wore while climbing because the collar kept the climbing sling from hurting his neck, the label has diversified into one of fashions most popular and trailblazing brands. A mix of bold colours, timeless silhouettes, an environmentally friendly reputation and their iconic logo, based on the silhouette of the Cerro Fitz Roy mountain range in Patagonia, have cemented the brand's image in our popular consciousness... with pieces selling out faster than we can stock them. Black remains fashion's iconic colour seen season after season because it's timeless and suits everyone. It's appeal endures because it transcends trends, is universally flattering and is suitable for almost all occasions. For this look we have gone for a minimalist monochrome approach broken up with a hint of bold colour. The use of understated black allows you to play about with shapes and textures that would otherwise look over done with a daring colour palette, with this is mind for footwear we have gone with Nike's Air Max 95 silhouette. We love the Air Max 95 shape but it can be a difficult shade to pull off especially if you go for a more colour heavy model. Season after season the military trend reasserts itself in menswear collections and one brand who have really encapsulated and enhanced it this Spring/Summer is Carhartt WIP . Edwin Faeh, the founder of Carhartt WIP , spent his formative years being inspired by the iconic workwear silhouette of America which themselves took their inspiration from a plethora of references from the army, sports and traditional denim cuts to the oil drillers and loggers who constitute America's workwear heritage. So it should come as no surprise that one of their five respective capsules this season is devoted to the military trend and is embellished with a raft of army references. The sun is finally shining today so it's time to do away with the drab colour palette of winter and get on board with the pastel hues of Spring. One of the brands that nailed the trend this season was Edwin . Their collection this Spring featured refreshed versions of traditional denim silhouettes, alongside workwear and minimalist pieces in blooming sun bleached colours. For this look we have colour blocked, to avoid overkill, with the pink Americana Felpa Sweatshirt on top with a subtle hint of the mint Terry Tee on show underneath. For a subdued colour palette like this simple detailing and fine craftsmanship, something Japanese brand Edwin are known for, work particularly well. The unpredictable British weather can pose a constant problem for the style conscious man; but you don't have to look at it as a negative as it can also provide you with the opportunity to work the seasoned layered look like a pro. Here at Fat Buddha Store we have created a look, the first in a series of editorials, using interchangeable layers to see you through the seasonal changeover. We have gone with a stalwart for the upper layers and used everyone favourite outdoor-wear brand Patagonia ; with their Crankset Jacket providing a lightweight waterproof and breathable shell over their Better Sweater which provides a textured aspect and further layer to the look. Using colour matching and mixing to keep things fresh we have teamed the outer layers with this Pocket address t-shirt from Deus Ex Machina and cargo pants from Carhartt WIP so you will still look good if the sun comes out and the layers come off.
