When FRONTEER released the Park Ranger capsule back in May, the Ranger Lo was a standout model from the collection. The silhouette combines the casual feel of a lifestyle shoe with design elements typically seen in hiking boots. This time around the shoe reappears in durable suede, with the two colorways, “Autumn Yellow” and “Eclipse.”  The versatile shoe comes with two lace options; a flush color, and a striped version typically seen on hiking boot laces. The sole unit is made in black rubber, with a Vibram logo embedded within the angular tread of the outsole. The toecap uses the same black rubber, but is made with a ribbed texture that stretches across the toe. The Suede Ranger Lo’s are now available online and instore now at Fat Buddha Store .

In 2015 Jon Tang turned a life long passion into a footwear brand of his own, forming Fronteer. Jang studied at the University of Texas gaining a Bachelors degree in fine art and design, before going to work for Puma as a graphic designer. After working as the lead footwear designer for K-Swiss, Jang had built up enough knowledge and confidence to start a footwear company of his own. His love of the outdoors and NASA’s space programme became the main influence for his collections, taking pieces of his influence childhood and transforming it into reality. Fronteer continues to form its collections on this mantra, focusing on creating lifestyle pieces for the outdoors.
