Image
This week's outfit grid makes use of winter appropriate thick and water proof materials in a variety of complimentary colours. This outfit will defy the elements while still keeping you looking stylish. Starting off the look is the a soft flannel shirt from Filson which is made with the highest quality and attention to detail with reinforced shoulders and pockets, a pleated back for mobility and ventilating underarm eyelet. For extra warmth in this weather layer the shirt over a plain t-shirt like this Base Tee in grey from Carhartt WIP . For protection against the elements we have used the Patagonia Torrent Shell Jacket in Classic Red perfect for this weather being both windproof and waterproof. We have teamed this look with one of our most popular denims Edwin's ED-55 in red selvedge denim which is a relexaed fit with a tapered leg, while the subtle red selvedge threading ties in with the overall colour palette. Adding edge to the look is the Air Max 1 from Nike...

Outfit of the Week - ONLY NY, Deus Ex Machina, Carhartt WIP, Pendleton, Adidas

Image
Look effortlessly stylish with this week's look which features some of our favorite pieces like the Deus Francis Sweatshirt and the iconic Stan Smiths. A perfect summer colour pallet consists of hues of creams and beige is offset with pops of colour in just the right amount on the hat and socks. When wearing this outfit layer the jumper over a white or light coloured t-shirt and for extra style points turn up the chinos to reveal the pattern on the socks and the signature Stan Smith heel tab. We choose the Dander Pant as the regular cut gives a more modern and stylish look to chinos when compared to some of their slimmer cousins. While its ubiquity this summer can be a tad grating the Stan Smith is popular for a reason and that's because it's become the trend shoe of the summer. The resurgence of the Stan Smith is widely credited to Phoebe Philo, creative director at French fashion house Céline, who wore them while closing the Céline show back in 2010 with them then a...

Pendleton - Heroic Chief Mini Blanket

Image
A striking silhouette of a Native American Chief is the central image of this unique, circa 1920s design. The original, vintage blanket was discovered and sent to Pendleton by Indian trade blanket collector and author Barry Friedman. The brand were delighted to reproduce this fascinating blanket. The feathered headdress was a ceremonial war bonnet worn only by chiefs and warriors. The war bonnet was common among Plains Indian men–Sioux, Crow, Blackfeet, Cheyenne and Cree–but was seldom worn on the battlefield. Reserved for formal occasions, the golden eagle-feather war bonnet was a spiritual symbol of a man's courage and honor. It was a sign of respect that could be bestowed only by the tribe's elders. The bonnet was also believed to protect the wearer. You can check out more pics shown below. The blanket is available now at Fat Buddha Store and is made from Napped, felt binding. 82% pure virgin wool/18% cotton and made in the USA. You can pop by the stor...
