The latest drop from Carhartt WIP's Spring/Summer 2016 collection takes some of Carhartt USA’s most iconic items and remixes them in the unique Work In Progress way. They call it Icons Revisited, and the nod to their workwear history is in the details. For this capsule, lightweight materials and street-friendly utilities replace heavier canvas and boxy fits. Pants, jackets, and shirts have been tailored to mirror the silhouettes found on European streets, though some retain their historical features. In the State Shirt, for example, they've implemented a classic pocket traditionally used by railroad workers to store their watches out on the tracks. Spring/Summer 2016 sees streetwear imprint Carhartt Work In Progress re-tool classic workwear silhouettes with their signature mix of prints, typography and bold textiles. This season pulls together classic Carhartt elements such as camo print, bold branding and typography along with new motifs such as Detroit city's 313 area code which features throughout. Spring/Summer 2016 also sees a return of more easily identifiable workwear silhouettes with looser fits seen throughout along with thicker materials like denim used liberally. Aesthetically the lookbook is minimal and clean set against a white backdrop and incorporating sunglasses, Wallabee boots and Converse to set off the looks.
