Carhartt WIP Spring/Summer 2016 - Icons Revisited
The latest drop from Carhartt WIP's Spring/Summer 2016 collection takes some of
Carhartt USA’s most iconic items and remixes them in the unique Work In
Progress way.
They call it Icons Revisited, and the nod to their workwear history is in the details. For this capsule, lightweight materials and street-friendly utilities replace heavier canvas and boxy fits. Pants, jackets, and shirts have been tailored to mirror the silhouettes found on European streets, though some retain their historical features. In the State Shirt, for example, they've implemented a classic pocket traditionally used by railroad workers to store their watches out on the tracks. Now, what you choose to put inside is entirely up to you. They've also introduced a white colourway to compliment the traditional brown duck pieces Carhartt WIP is known for. Finally, they extended the cut of the Chore coat, making it longer for a contemporary look and better protection against the elements in-between seasons.
