Little Richard - I Don't Want To Discuss It

This song for soooooooo long has been a staple in my car journey to work every day, found it on a Northern Soul album from Morrisons for £2.99, what a bargain, and what a truly great song.

We have YouTube

Image
Following on from the eventual launch of a FLICKR page, we have now went in the same week done a YouTube page, talk about waitng for a bus and 2 come along at the same time. The YouTube page can be found here. www.youtube.com/fatbuddhastore Youtube is where you find all our videos of the store, product and more importantly how to videos of graffiti tutorials, i reckon product video should start to appear by end of may and the tutorials will appear beginning of June.

Mr Chi City

I still don't know if this is a wind up/very good marketing campaign or whatever, but it is easily one of the funniest things I've seen. Presenting the totally unaware, unintenionally hilarious walking stereotype that is Mister Chi City. Mayne...well, at least I know multiple beverages impress the ladies now. Mark

Fraser Mart

Honey Honey

Apologies in advance for this catchy piece of pish, but the hottie below sang it in Mama Mia and i had to listen to the original.

Dave the Chimp video interview

Originally releasing in mid-September, UK artist Dave the Chimp embarked on his first collaboration with Vans on a Mid Skool. In this video interview, he offers a complex break-down of the shoes artistic features and what they represent. Furthermore he touches on his artistic work and offers some interesting examples of his stop-motion videos. Fraser.

More You Tube for you

Listen to this one, give it time, its a gem. Still a bit Jet Lagged last night, i was up to 5am fannying around on You Tube and found a whole pile of good shit, posted a few yesterday and heard this clip last year, apparently it is true, funny as hell to be fair.

Q & A with Walter

If only all managers answered questions as fluently as walter.

Skateboarding

Recently, while trying to put my life and university dissertation in permanent procrastination mode, I started watching some of my favourite skate videos of yore on youtube . Skating in the last few years has seemed to me like it's changed for the worse. I find it increasingly difficult to keep up with the overexposure of every new "star" i.e. eleven year old who snapped a tre over the Carlsbad with no style and has burned out a month after his first video part came out. Events seem a lot more corporate based and coverage is definitely on the decline. Even the filming doesn't seem quite as tight, all Atiba rip offs and no individuals like the late Trevor Prescott. Still, thought I'd put up some of my personal favourite riders-a lot are a little more offbeat. This best of Jason Adams compilation is mostly taken from his seminal Black Label, "Label Kills" video part, with a little from "Blackout". In "Label Kills", this was the openi...

Musical Express

Came across these Youtube videos when checking out the blog of Focus Skate store in Glasgow & Edinburgh, so thanks to these guys for finding these gem. The Glasgow Diamonds one goes back to 1986 and has become a bit of an internet hit, quite rightly so.

Loco Fox

Image
The video below is from Fear the Ripper. It’s called Loco Fox and is done during the day in Moscow. The guy gets up in the Underground, main streets and on buses. He uses markers and spray paint. His character is quick but really effective, I think the video is worth a watch. Fat Buddha sells a wide range of markers, spray paint and inks. The most popular would be the 15mm and 30mm Monster Paint Markers, which come in a range of colours and cost from £4.50 to £5.00.

Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse is always in the press getting slated for drug taking, assaulting people and ruining shows. and since she hasn't been well this week I thought I'd big her up! In the video below, Amy is on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, where she is a bit tipsy. She is quick witted, rude but down right funny. I hope she sorts herself out, as she is very talented and isn't as bad as people make out.

Wanted Movie Review

Went to see this cool lil film last night, had heard some good reports and it didn't disappoint, thing i cant believe is how sexy Jolie looked, never really got her before but wow she does look stunning and Jame's american accent was pretty impressive. Well worth spending the money to see this flick, some reviews grabbed from metacritic for you to digest 100 The Hollywood Reporter Michael Rechtshaffen This over-the-top, ultraviolent, hyperkinetic action thriller pretty much has it all. 90 New York Magazine David Edelstein It takes about an hour after it's over for the heart to slow, the brain to recalibrate, and the nonsensicalness of the thing to sink in. 83 Portland Oregonian Shawn Levy Bekmambetov revs it up furiously and unleashes one bit of hyperactive, dazzling invention after another. The result is a throwaway wrapped up in the coolest packaging imaginable, which is acres better than the opposite. 83 Baltimore Sun Michael Sragow What's bleakly hilarious about th...
