After a very successful 2012 La Cheetah Club are back with a bang in 2013 and to say they're kicking things of in style would be an understatement! 2012 saw them launch the Motor City Electronics series of nights, which was initially a four part series dedicated to the electronic music of Detroit. For their first night in 2013 they're moving their attention to another city known for it's pioneering contribution to club music. We are of course talking about the windy city of Chicago!   They'll be running their "La Cheetah Club Presents... The House Sound Of Chicago" nights sporadically throughout 2013 and to kick things off they have a true legend in our midst! Farley Keith Williams, better known to you and I as Farley Jackmaster Funk will be in town for a UK exclusive performance. On Saturday 8th our friends Colours in association with Stereofunk are bringing their biggest party yet in the form of their brand spanking new event Party in the Park! An all day party that ams to bring the best elements of Colours, blended with the magic of Stereofunk to create something really special at Strathclyde Country Park, Motherwell Scotlands biggest amusement park. Big things are planned for this so get involved. The vast lineup includes all sorts of popular dance music artists ranging from the likes of Carl Craig, DJ Sneak, Inner City to Showtek and Ferry Corsten. Tonight La Cheetah Club plays host to Detroit based house/techno legend Theo Parrish. Theo has been releasing his own distinctive sound that is made up of a blend of Chicago house and elements of Detroit Techno with influences from jazz, hip-hop, funk and disco for almost two decades now. Graduating from the Chicago Academy of the Arts and going on to receive his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1994. Growing up he was heavily influenced by jazz artists such as Miles Davis and Nina Simone, and also stated in a Red Bull Music Academy interview that Stevie Wonder was the beginning of his musical education. As well as releases on Moodyman's KDJ he has released on Sound Signature the label he runs himself which has also seen releases from the likes of Redshape, Kyle Hall, Roman Flugel amongst many many others.
