One of our favourite books here at Fat Buddha Store has to be Upper Playgrounds - 10 Years Of T-Shirt Graphics . The book shows, well, exactly what the title says the last ten years of t-shirt graphics by San Fransisco’s finest street culture shop & clothing line, Upper Playground. If you’re a fan of the latest street art, t shirts or just cool stuff, then this book is definitely for you. The affiliated gallery, Fifty24SF, shows works by leading urban artists, some of whom are the world’s most provocative. The works featured in this 10 year anniversary edition are cutting edge to say the least. VNA Magazine

One of our favourite magazines VNA (Very Nearly Almost) has just arrived through the door at Fat Buddha Store. Issue 21 is packed with great features including a cover shot of Miss Van doing what she does best, yip you guessed it, painting. This issue also features Inkie, DAL & Faith47, Rone and much more. For anyone not familiar with the magazine, VNA is a UK-based independent magazine printed quarterly which features interviews with some of the world’s best urban artists, illustrators and photographers. Launched in 2006, VNA tracks everything from the wheatpastes, paint and stencils out there on the streets through to gallery shows and events that bring together artists from around the world. Each issue brings you in-depth feature articles and interviews with the biggest names on the scene, as well as up and coming artists. What's On! - Doors Open Day Glasgow

This weekend on  Saturday the 15th and Sunday 16th of September, Glasgow celebrates it's buildings, streets, parks, architecture and people with it's annual Glasgow Doors Open Day. The event, which is held on the third weekend in September every year, is now in its 23rd year and involves opening the doors of more than 100 iconic buildings to the public for free. As well as providing access to some of Glasgow's most exciting buildings the event also includes a number of different walks, tours, talks  and seminars allowing those involved to get the most out of the event and see a whole lot of unseen Glasgow. The event sees a number of different and varied venues open their doors varying from Universities, Churches, Fire Stations, Clubs, Broadcasting Studios, Breweries and a whole lot of others.
