Central Market Glasgow

After opening it's doors to the public at the end of October last year Central Market in Glasgow has established itself as one of the best places to dine out in the city. A firm favourite with all of the staff here at Fat Buddha Store , and a true success with the public, the restaurant has put itself on the map in a matter of months. The cafĂ©, restaurant and deli opened its doors on Bell Street in Glasgow’s historic Merchant City. Inspiration for the name was taken from the old fruit, vegetable and cheese markets which thrived in the area in the early 19th century and were referred to as the ‘central markets’. The restaurants beautiful interior makes for comfortable eating, and if anything grabs you the minute you walk in the door it has to be the uplifting atmosphere. What's On! - Doors Open Day Glasgow

This weekend on  Saturday the 15th and Sunday 16th of September, Glasgow celebrates it's buildings, streets, parks, architecture and people with it's annual Glasgow Doors Open Day. The event, which is held on the third weekend in September every year, is now in its 23rd year and involves opening the doors of more than 100 iconic buildings to the public for free. As well as providing access to some of Glasgow's most exciting buildings the event also includes a number of different walks, tours, talks  and seminars allowing those involved to get the most out of the event and see a whole lot of unseen Glasgow. The event sees a number of different and varied venues open their doors varying from Universities, Churches, Fire Stations, Clubs, Broadcasting Studios, Breweries and a whole lot of others. What's On - 10 Years of Get A Room

The Brunswick Hotel always plays a major role in the many local festivals and events occuring throughout the year in Glasgow's Merchant City with many goings on happening in their small basement bar, Basura Blanca which has attracted many sought after DJ's and artists through the years. This September they will hold the Get A Room Charity event. They are also well known for throwing the annual Get A Room charity event which utilises the space of pretty much the whole hotel to create an evening like you've never seen before. This year will be the tenth year of Get A Room meaning that we will be in for a real treat. Get A Room takes place on Sunday 23 September 2012. Expect to be entertained with DJ's, Artists, Installations and a Pedal powered jukebox over 7 floors of the Brunswick Hotel from 6pm with a secret after party in the City Centre till 3am.
