Music Monday - Run The Jewels!
This week saw the release of a highly anticipated album from Run The Jewels , the unique pairing of underground hip hop legend EL-P and Dungeon Family MC Killer Mike. After collaborating together on "R.A.P. Music", Killer Mikes' critically acclaimed last album which was produced in its entirety by EL-P, the duo release this new project which sees them sharing the MC-ing duties. A native of Brooklyn, EL-P is considered an underground legend by the hip hop community, cutting his teeth as one of the founding members of Company Flow alongside Mr Len and Bigg Jus, releasing the instant classic "Funcrusher Plus" on Rawkus Records in 1997. EL-P then went on to form his own record label Definitive Jux after the disbanding of Company Flow in the early 2000's.
