Vans are pretty massive now, and it seems every kid is rocking a pair, BUT not the Vans California range, this is a range only sold in certain select boutique stores around the world, we'll be the only store in Glasgow selling this range. Our favourite shoe is the Vans Carillo, a very good contemporary shoe, has styling cues from Clarks and so far has been very well received instore, its been attracting a lot of attention from the 'older' customer, great looking shoe and we advise you to keep your eyes peeled as their are some great pieces due in from Vans California.. Of course there is a full range from Vans Classics online and instore. And there is still a fill range from Vans OTW online and instore.

For Valentine's Day 2012 we decided put together a lookbook with a difference, featuring some of our favourite brands in store including ONLY New York, Undefeated, Diamond Supply Co, Carharrt, Edwin, Vans, Nike, Puma and HUF. Sick of the same old soppy, cheesy Valentine's poems and cards we see year in year out we thought we would create a card with a twist. Bringing you a more up to date take on the classic "Roses are Red" poem we present to you the Fat Buddha Valentine's lookbook......will you be our Valentine??? Just in this week we got a new delivery of Vans , in some really nice "Spring" colourways.  The styles we're looking at today just look perfect for a clean fresh Spring/Summer look. As per usual each pair features the signature reinforced heel, vulcanised base and the traditional waffle sole. Here are some of our favourites - Authentic - Blue Bell The Authentic is the signature Vans shoe, a real classic that is suitable for any casual occasion. Authentic - Gossamer Green The ERA which is very similar to the Authentic except more skateboarder friendly with its padded lip around the mouth for ankle support and extra stitching. With the warm days a thing of dreams and those cold cold nights drawing closer by the day we thought we'd try bring some heat with 3 new Vans styles, which landed in the past week. The 106 Moc in Black is part of the Vans California range which uses premium materials and has a more refined style - these will look perfect on a Christmas night out with some jeans and a shirt. They have a vulcanized sole, like the other 106's, but are finished with contrast metal eyelets. Another shoe for the Christmas party this season is The Pritchard , this is part of the Vans OTW collection - exclusive to us at Fat Buddha - and is a brand new Steel Grey (Waxed Canvas) colourway. These shoes feature a new take on the Vans Waffle sole and have round laces, which gives a more sophisticated look. This past week our footwear deliveries were insane as we got a shipment of 4 new Vans styles, but wait, these aren't any normal Vans , these are the Italian Leather series. Coming in this time in the Slip-On , The Authentic and the LPE or Low Pro Era, the Italian Leather series are a more mature looking set of shoes. All made from high quality materials to give a nice clean finish, the Leather uppers work well, especially on the Authentic models giving them a nice smooth look - and yes, they also smell great too! We are now down to our last size in the Vans - Era 59 (C+P) black, and in fact our last size in the style of the shoe itself, after we sold out of the blue version of the shoe last week. So get it quick if its your size because it'll be gone soon. Each based on the designs from vintage Hermes scarfs they really do bring a new dimension to the classic skate slip-on! What do you think? Vans Dawn Of The Shred returns for its fifth year to the Cairngorms, with every intention of pulling another epic contest out of the bag and redefining what can be achieved inside the British Isles. Last year the event surpassed all expectations with an impressive snow park, the biggest kicker Great Britain has seen and a formidable roster of competitors. This year, the bar is being raised further. With record snowfall already recorded in the area there is no doubt that things are going to go off the Richter. Well, they've teamed up with Vans to create a collection which includes this bad boy as well as a skate high. But hey, black's great too and not only is this style perfect if you wanna get your fancy feet on, but it's comfortable and skateable like any other vans sneaker!
