Courtesy of our friends at Colours we have up for grabs a pair of tickets for Steve Angello's Size Matters tour as it stops off in Glasgow on Friday 19th October. This show is likely to be like nothing you have ever seen before in Scotland, with a massive 5,000 capacity and a stage, sound, light and laser show of epic proportions. Steve Angello's Size Matters event will also features support from some of the labels biggest names and some of the most exciting producers in the game. Sharing the massive stage on the night will be Third Party, Qulinez and Wayne & Woods who are likely to get your feet jumping and your heart pumping! Not to forget Cedric Gervais who will be making his Scottish debut at the show! OM MY DAYS!!! The Arches present the return of the ultimate terror experience in the form of Alien War. The action packed Alien War is back commemorating 20 years since it first opened at the Arches in 1992. Alien War is described as a "Total Reality" as those taking part make their way through the the specially designed set inspired by Alien set designer HR Giger. The group of explorers taking part will travel through the the dark, claustrophobic underground depths of the Arches tunnels discovering unusual artifacts and strange hieroglyphics along the way. Not too mention the terrifying scares that they will encounter as they are pursued by the Alien. Alien Wars is running from Friday 14th  September to Sunday 14th April and is not to be missed if you are looking to scare yourself shitless and prepared to do a lot of running. With a whole new set design and plenty of new scares Alien Wars is just as exciting for previous victims too. Info on tickets and times here ...

Dazzle of Fog is a collaboration of musicians, filmmakers and artists who are from or currently living in  Glasgow to create four specially commissioned pieces that delve into the artists interpretations on the relationship between sound and film in enhanced cinematic environments. The products of these collaborations wil be presented in a special evening with live events, installations and recoded media. The event will take place at Film City in Govan optimising specially adapted spaces for each of the four performances on the 29th September. Dead Island Trailer from Savalas Sound on Vimeo . This weekend on  Saturday the 15th and Sunday 16th of September, Glasgow celebrates it's buildings, streets, parks, architecture and people with it's annual Glasgow Doors Open Day. The event, which is held on the third weekend in September every year, is now in its 23rd year and involves opening the doors of more than 100 iconic buildings to the public for free. As well as providing access to some of Glasgow's most exciting buildings the event also includes a number of different walks, tours, talks  and seminars allowing those involved to get the most out of the event and see a whole lot of unseen Glasgow. The event sees a number of different and varied venues open their doors varying from Universities, Churches, Fire Stations, Clubs, Broadcasting Studios, Breweries and a whole lot of others. The Brunswick Hotel always plays a major role in the many local festivals and events occuring throughout the year in Glasgow's Merchant City with many goings on happening in their small basement bar, Basura Blanca which has attracted many sought after DJ's and artists through the years. This September they will hold the Get A Room Charity event. They are also well known for throwing the annual Get A Room charity event which utilises the space of pretty much the whole hotel to create an evening like you've never seen before. This year will be the tenth year of Get A Room meaning that we will be in for a real treat. Get A Room takes place on Sunday 23 September 2012. Expect to be entertained with DJ's, Artists, Installations and a Pedal powered jukebox over 7 floors of the Brunswick Hotel from 6pm with a secret after party in the City Centre till 3am.
