Lacoste L!ve

Image
One of the latest brands to join our ever growing brand roster here at Fat Buddha Store is Lacoste Live! Lacoste first officially christened its newest line Lacoste L!ve when it was launched on the runway in New York in 2009, where it was dubbed RED! after the bright and bold colour of the exclamation point juxtaposed to the crocodile logo. Lacoste L!ve keeps that signature ‘!’, which asserts its uniqueness, its difference and its identity. The line is very much a contemporary reinterpretation of the classic Lacoste shapes. Destined for an audience who refuses to compromise on look, quality or cut. A directional line focused on clothing and footwear that forges ahead while respecting its roots. Lacoste L!ve also pays tribute to the impact and importance of cultural trends such as music on fashion. The first Lacoste L!ve collection for men under its freshly minted name was unveiled in Berlin on 7 July., Lacoste L!ve also seen its first shop open its doors in Soho during ...

Horse Meat Disco make a welcome return to Glasgow's great disco den The Berkeley Suite tomorrow night (Saturday 27th April), and if previous experience is anything to go by, then it's set to be outstanding. Going Out - Sensu Presents Zip at The Sub Club

Image
Tonight (Friday 19th April) Thomas Franzmann aka Zip, co-founder of the label Perlon, is more than familiar with what make dance floors around the world work. In 1997 he founded the Perlon label with Marcus Nikolai and has since released seminal records by friends and contemporaries Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Akufen, Baby Ford, Ark, Cassie and A Guy Called Gerald to name but a few. His own steady stream of solo productions and remixes, as well as his residency at Panorama Bar in Berlin have ensured his reputation as a DJ and musician match that of his label with every move he makes. He is, in other words, a cult favorite. Most of this fervor comes from his style as a selector, something that’s born out of his DJ sets and in the catalogue of Perlon, arguably one of the best house labels of all time, which he co-founded in the mid-’90s. In both roles, Zip embodies the modern and playfully experimental side of house. More simply, he’s a fantastic DJ, delivering a dynam...

Evol - Building Series

Image
They have been some amazing street art in the last while, but one to impress us at Fat Buddha Store has to be from Berlin-based street artist Evol who transforms city blocks, power boxes, walls and many other public structures into micro apartment buildings as part of his ongoing  Buildings  series. Evol carefully maps out each unique urban project by using stencils to mimic the gridded windows and balconies that normally make up an apartment building’s facade. The artist’s extremely detailed miniature apartment buildings often include varied compositions of satellite dishes and diverse window fixtures. Some of the “windows” even have curtains while others are left bare. You can check out some of his great work below. Evol has always had features in the great VNA Magazine (Very Nearly Almost) which also focuses on street and urban art. We stock the mag in store and online, you can find it here .
