Carhartt WIP Cargo Pants, Everything You Need to Know

Image
When it comes to cargo pants, Carhartt WIP offers a variety of options to suit different needs and preferences. Let's take a closer look at five of their popular styles: the new Jet Cargo Pant, the new Cole Cargo Pant, Regular Cargo Pant, Aviation Pant, and Cargo Jogger Pant, we have sumarized it into 3 main points for each pant, and further on we go into a more detailed look at each pant. These are wardrobe staples and will not go out of fashion, just check out out this blog post we wrote back in 2019 for Cargo Joggers . In the old days we only had 1 option, the Cargo Pant and it was pretty baggy and oversized, still have a pair of shorts, and had to get the waist taken in.  Over the past 10 years, Carhartt have worked on fits and options and now they are the market leaders in this trouser section, or pants as they like to call them. Carhartt WIP - 'Burnout' Editorial

Image
We are now reaching the apex of summer so what better time to check out the latest beautifully photographed shoot from Carhartt WIP . Shot close to the arid dirt tracks and dense foliage of Topanga Canyon by LA-based photographer Dan Regan, Carhartt WIP’s latest editorial, titled Burnout, explores the versatility of this season’s collection, as summer staples intersect with utilitarian classics. Reflective of a climate of dense daytime heat and plummeting late-night temperatures, graphic t-shirts and layered button-down shirts are paired with items like our Double Front Jacket and Wesley Jacket. Both take inspiration from classic work gear, featuring multiple utility pockets, and are executed in washed denim and garment-dyed cotton twill respectively. The selection is rounded out by accessories, such as caps and bucket hats, in a series of images that interrogates the idea of functionality; from archetypal Carhartt WIP items to those more typically associated with the hei...

Carhartt WIP - A/W 'Utility'

Image
Typically known for its Americana-influenced work jackets and pants, the Utility facet of the new Carhartt WIP Autumn/Winter 2021 collection eschews this point of reference, while still maintaining a focus on work-inspired silhouettes and fabrics.  Here, instead of rugged brown canvas, garments are created in heavy, structured twill and raw, undyed herringbone that has a speckled, salt-and-pepper look. The designs draw from an array of influences: pockets from a military smock are applied to the Charter Shirt, while angular contrast stitching and a washed-out blue colour – labelled ‘astro’ – both nod to functional garments of a more European origin. Utility also extends to a series of cotton jersey items, which appear in a loose, boxy fit with contrast flatlock stitch detailing. The Charter Pant, meanwhile, sees a classic cargo pant silhouette executed in a garment dyed twill, across a spectrum of washed-out colors. The result is a series of understated silhouettes ...
