The unpredictable British weather can pose a constant problem for the style conscious man; but you don't have to look at it as a negative as it can also provide you with the opportunity to work the seasoned layered look like a pro. Here at Fat Buddha Store we have created a look, the first in a series of editorials, using interchangeable layers to see you through the seasonal changeover. We have gone with a stalwart for the upper layers and used everyone favourite outdoor-wear brand Patagonia ; with their Crankset Jacket providing a lightweight waterproof and breathable shell over their Better Sweater which provides a textured aspect and further layer to the look. Using colour matching and mixing to keep things fresh we have teamed the outer layers with this Pocket address t-shirt from Deus Ex Machina and cargo pants from Carhartt WIP so you will still look good if the sun comes out and the layers come off. We are thrilled to welcome a new silhouette, the Weaver , from Clarks Originals to Fat Buddha Store . This moccasin type shoe could be described as the smarter version of the Wallabe , and uses that model as a base but enhances the upper blanket stitching and collar detailing for a more striking aesthetic. This modern take on a classic silhouette features contrast stitching, their signature crepe sole and of course their iconic branding logo tags. We will be stocking the Weaver in this earthy black suede, pictured, which looks great with the heightened crepe sole. We've mixed things up this Outfit of the Week by having our own staff member Aidan wearing this week's look; which is a smarter take on classic workwear silhouettes. Going for a more dressed style this week we started the look off with a shirt, Carhartt WIP's State Shirt. This classic chambray style shirt features minimal detailing such as Carhartt's signature box logo to the chest pocket along with subtle red stitching. Next up on this look is Carhartt's Michigan Chore jacket, we've seen variations of this jacket for several seasons and yet it still remains one of our favourite timeless pieces. This Chore jacket's popularity can be perhaps attributed to it's flattering linear cut, smart detailing and iconic Carhartt branding. T his weeks curated outfit comes from three powerhouses each at the forefront of their game. Herschel may have not been on the scene for as long as the rest of the featured companies but the impact they have made is undeniable. Creating robust, timeless products at a reasonable price has meant that Herschel has attracted a wide range of custom from hill walkers and mountain climbers to city dwellers and daily commuters.  Clarks , on the other hand, have had nearly 200 years to evolve and establish themselves as a brand. In this time they've adapted new technology and have created one of the most popular boots available today. Carhartt don't really need an introduction but for those unfamiliar, the workwear conglomerate have been producing outstanding garments since the late 1800's and have only progressed ever since. Clarks Originals popular Lugger shoe has just arrived in store at Fat Buddha Store in a beautiful Tan Brown leather finish. The shoe comes from a design from the 1980's and is known  for its 'pastry' seam detail which runs along one side. The Lugger features a leather upper, crepe sole, simple stitching and comes in a moccasin styled design. You can check out more pics below. We're just into the start of the year here at Fat Buddha Store, and already it's shaping up nicely with the Clarks Originals x YMC collaboration Edmund shoe in Red and Blue and the desert boot in Tobbaco just arriving through the door. The shoe was first previewed in Florence at the Pitti Uomo tradeshow. The UK brand has designed a slip-on loafer and a mid cut desert boot. Both styles come in several colors, featuring premium leather uppers and rather chunky crepe outer soles. Double branding of the team up between the two brands is featured on the in-sole of the shoes. You can check out another pic below. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the iconic Desert Trek, Clarks Originals has hooked up with legendary record label Trojan records for a limited edition shoe dubbed the "Trojan Trek" Trojan Records was founded in 1968 and has graced the world with some of the best reggae, dub and ska from legendary artists such as Bob Marley and the Wailers, Toots and the Maytals and Lee 'Scratch' Perry.  The Trojan Trek brings together two staples of Jamaican life, Clarks Originals and reggae music!
