Outfit of the Week - Carhartt WIP, Clarks Originals

We've mixed things up this Outfit of the Week by having our own staff member Aidan wearing this week's look; which is a smarter take on classic workwear silhouettes.

Going for a more dressed style this week we started the look off with a shirt, Carhartt WIP's State Shirt. This classic chambray style shirt features minimal detailing such as Carhartt's signature box logo to the chest pocket along with subtle red stitching. Next up on this look is Carhartt's Michigan Chore jacket, we've seen variations of this jacket for several seasons and yet it still remains one of our favourite timeless pieces. This Chore jacket's popularity can be perhaps attributed to it's flattering linear cut, smart detailing and iconic Carhartt branding. The Spring/Summer 2016 version pictures is an altogether lighter edition for summer and is finished off with smart gold buttons, signature box logo and corduroy top collar. Finishing the look is another workwear classic, Carhartt's Skill Pant. This regular looser fit cut looks much more contemporary than their skinnier counterparts and looks particularly good when rolled up.

Another key piece in this look is Clarks' iconic Wallabee. The Wallabee has always been a favourite piece thanks to its moccasin construction and structural silhouette but this season has been massive with the shoe cropping up on a series of lookbooks and collaborations with everyone from Goodhood to Concepts. Shown here in dark brown the Wallabee pulls together this looks' smarter take on streetwear.

Carhartt Michigan Chore Coat - Dark Navy/Black

From Carhartt WIP comes this Michigan Chore Coat a slightly more heavy weight jacket for the colder months. Coming in dark navy with gold buttons it features a paired down corduroy top collar and is finished off with a woven branding box to the left chest pocket.

Carhartt Skill Pant - Duke Blue

The Skill Pant from Carhartt remain unchanged on their return this season besides a few additional colour options. Comprised of a cotton/polyester blend, the Skill Pant are a solid and rigorous every day pant reinforced with triple stitching around the seams and bartack stitching located at common stress points.

Carhartt L/S State Shirt - Wax

The State shirt from Carhartt is new addition to their collection of premium shirts. Constructed from a soft cotton chambray the garment features both an inside and outside chest pocket as well as an easy access angled pen pocket. The piece is tied up with branding located on the chest and placket.

Clarks Originals Wallabee Shoes - Dark Brown Suede

The Wallabee has become an iconic classic in Clarks Originals collection across the globe thanks to its moccasin construction and structural silhouette.
