Carhartt WIP presents Danny Brown Europe tour 2016

Detroit native and hip hop one-off-a-kind Danny Brown just released his new album Atrocity Exhibition on the influential British electronic and beyond label Warp . The Detroit rapper's fifth LP was named after a song by the iconic British Post-punk band Joy Division and it features guests like American singer and songwriter Kelela as well as hip hop colleagues like Earl Sweatshirt or superstar Kendrick Lamar . To arrange his hallucinogen sample-laden tunes, he also received some help from in-demand producers like Evian Christ , Petite Noir or The Alchemist , who all assisted Brown for an unorthodox album that ties up Lazer guitars, creaking vocal-samples or drone missile strike sounds. In addition Brown revealed that his fresh full-length record is inspired by the solo works of Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon , early music by Island's pop star Björk and the Œuvre of the Post-punk and experimental pop band Talking Heads .   Carhartt WIP joint forces with ...

This week we have news about the Gorillaz upcoming ablum along with the latest visuals from Detroit's Danny Brown. Danny Brown - When It Rain Detroit rapper Danny Brown has dropped the visuals for his new single "When It Rain." Shot in an old school VHS style the videos features everything from twerkers to contortionists with intermittent static clips. It's been almost three years since Brown released 2013's Old and there is yet no word on when his upcoming 2016 solo album will drop so it's good to finally see more from the artist.
