Carhartt's great new Camera Strap has just landed at Fat Buddha Store, and is the perfect addition for any photographers out there. The Camera Strap fits all SLR and compact cameras and is made of 25mm flat nylon webbing with an adjustable length fitting. The strap can be used as sling, shoulder or neck strap and includes two sets of interchangeable connectors for standard loops for point and shoot and Micro 43rd. The strap comes in two colour options, the Military Green shown above and also in Black. Both straps are available at Fat Buddha Store now.

The Stone Roses’ 1990 gig at Glasgow Green is a night that’s gone down in rock and roll history. In the sweltering heat, loyal fans jammed into the park to watch a band perform at the top of their game. Ian Tilton was there capturing the energy and passion of the scenes for generations to come. And in a timely warm-up to the group’s Glasgow Green return, the photographer’s work will be on show at the Set In Stone exhibition. Fans can prepare for the landmark concert on June 15 with the Scottish launch of Ian’s book and collection in the Saltmarket. The exhibition, which will take over an abandoned bar for two weeks, marks new gallery initiative Static Collective’s first showcase. We have just taken a re-stock of some Polaroid film and some new cameras from Impossible Project here at Fat Buddha Store . Impossible Project are a company that manufactures instant photographic materials and Polaroid film being the main drive behind the company. The Impossible Project was started in 2008 after Polaroid announced in February 2008 that it would stop producing instant film for Polaroid cameras. The founders are Dr. Florian Kaps, André Bosman and Marwan Saba. In June 2008, Kaps and Bosman met at the Polaroid factory’s closing event and decided to found a company to produce materials for Polaroid cameras. In October 2008, Impossible bought the production machinery from Polaroid and leased a building, called Building Noord, which was formerly part of the Polaroid plant in Enschede in the Netherlands. It leased the Polaroid production plant and developed new instant film products for use in existing Polaroid cameras. In 2010, the company began producing...

One of our customers for art supplies here at Fat Buddha Store , Peter Drew has made this great short video showcasing an ongoing project he has been doing in Glasgow. Before Peter left Adelaide he made a collection of portrait photographs of his friends and family. When he arrived in Glasgow he started drawing their portraits and installing the drawings, together with the photos, on the street. he recorded people’s reactions to the project and began to make portraits of the people who reacted. In this sense the project has grown in the same way that our feeling of ‘home’ grows around our sense of community. 'Home’ is an ongoing project that Peter aim's to continue by photographing and drawing people wherever he goes. Each portrait is a small memorial to the people in his life and a means to connect with the place where he is living. Having been the official face of Burberry for Spring Summer 2012, she's now also the face of Burberry Beauty and has done standout campaigns for H&M, Chanel, and Zara. The final installment in our Lomography introduction - The Holga Camera! INTRO The history of the Holga is pretty reminiscent of that of the Diana. Produced in Hong Kong from 1982 onwards, the concept was to produce a simple, minimal and inexpensive medium format camera containing the most basic photo mechanisms - providing a cheap and accessible alternative to the otherwise expensive world of medium format photography. This camera was named after the term “ho gwong”, meaning “very bright” which, after throwing a European spin on it became “Holga. Since, the camera has gathered increasing popularity with its unpredictable features that, in a ‘normal’ camera, would be considered fatal defects and up to this day the Holgas low-tech appeal grows stronger and stronger.
