Field Notes - The “Kraft Plus” Edition

Image
Field Notes always produce a quarterly edition, and this quarter is quite a special one, they bring you the Field Notes "Kraft Plus" Edition , three sets of 2 pack goodness.   Field Notes quarterly editions can be wild and complicated masterpieces, just look at Hatch or Underland to see how complicated they can get. With this set, Field Notes decided to calm it down a notch and to make it a set that was more affordable and within the price range of everyone, so here we have a  2 Pack set for £10. Each set is a different colour, the covers have colours that have been born by working bright anbd opaque transparent ink together and combining into the warm tone and feel of the French Paper companies texturous and fibrous Brown Wrap Packing Paper that the guys at Field Notes have been using forever on the stock Kraft OG sets. If you are in the lovely city of Glasgow, remember and pop instore to pick up a pack or two, also worth noting that not only are the only store in Glasgow ...

Field Notes - Great Lakes

Image
Jump into six quadrillion gallons of fresh water with Field Notes’ Summer 2022 Quarterly Edition. “The Great Lakes” set of five Memo Books celebrates Lakes Michigan, Superior, Huron, Erie, and Ontario. Indigenous peoples’ deep knowledge of these five glacier-carved lakes served them well for for agriculture, hunting, and trade. Today, the Great Lakes continue to connect Midwestern manufacturing towns to the rest of the world. These waterways have brought people together for thousands of years. If you grew up around Marquette, Manitowoc, Mentor, or Mississauga, the Great Lakes are your frame of reference, and anywhere in the region feels like home. Field Notes' Chicago HQ sits just a couple miles from Lake Michigan, so a Great Lakes set has been on the brand's radar for years. Neenah’s vibrant Cobalt Techweave cover stock gave them inspiration for the isometric triangle rendering of the lakes found on the covers, with each book’s featured lake highlighted in silve...

Outfit of the Week - Carhartt, Converse, Field Notes

Image
Today we present you the Outfit of The Week chosen by one of our staff member: Vincent. In this outfit, three brands have been chosen: Carhartt WIP for the most part of it, footwear is based on Converse and the notebook is from Field Notes . For the top, he picked the long sleeve Champ Tee in Blue/White. A perfect top for summer in a classic design. For the trousers, he has chosen the Master Pant in Dark Navy, a classic chino pant from Carhartt WIP. The regular cut gives a nice shape to the trousers and they also drop down on the shoes quite nicely. For the accessories, we have the classic ball-pen and the military wallet in dark navy from Carhartt WIP and the plain paper Field Notes to write down all his experiences he had during summer. Footwear wise, he went for another classic and quite popular shoe at the moment: The Converse One Star in Ash Grey. Field Notes

One of the newest products to drop through the doors here at Fat Buddha are Field Notes. These uniquely designed range of notebooks are the brainchild of Portland-based graphic designer Aaron Draplin . The concept for Field Notes was born out of Draplins love and affection for American farmers notebooks which he had begun collecting and archiving in 1993 as he travelled over the US. After years of collecting these notebooks and years of design work for other companies, including Nike, Patagonia and Burton snowboards among others, Draplin decided to take his passion to another level. In 2008, he designed and produced a small range of notebooks in the style of the ones he had collected for years and handed them out among his circle of friends, the rest as they say is history.   Now in 2012, Field Notes is a successful business producing many styles, sizes and colours of notebooks, some of which are now available instore. The pick of the bunc...
