Going Out - Hot Contact at The Berkeley Suite With Craig Moog

Tonight (Friday 14th March) Hot Contact takes to Glasgow's notorious late night club haunt The Berkeley Suite with Craig Moog (Piece Together) at the controls. Sound wise think, Disco, Italo, House, Re-Edits, Cosmic, Electronic, Balearic, Psychedelic, Funk, Boogie and everything else in between. The Berkeley Suite has been renowned for it's great great bookings since opening it's doors a while back with guests such as Dan Avery (Phantasy), Prins Thomas (Full Pupp), Thomas Bullock (Rub'n'Tug), Optimo, Derrick Carter, Horse Meat Disco, Cosmo Vitelli, Pete Herbert & Dicky Trisco (Disco Deviance), the list continues...rolling through the place and Andrew Weatherall & Sean Johnston holding down a residency there with their brilliant 'A Love From Outer Space' club night. The club runs from 11pm till 3am, get down early to ensure entry!

Going Out - Melting Pot & Optimo Waverly Boat Party

Two of our favourite club nights at Fat Buddha Store take to the high seas tonight on the legendary paddle steamer boat The Waverly. Melting Pot and Optimo (Espacio) provide the soundtrack to bring us one of the best boat party's of the year taking place on the last sea sailing paddle steamer in the world, The Waverley with a trip to Gourock and back on an immaculately preserved vessel.  The boat sails from the Glasgow Science Centre at 8pm, sails up to the lighthouse in Gourock and returns to Glasgow for 11pm. At 11pm they will move over to SWG3 for Part 2 and pick up where they left off until 3am. Under the Hood jump starts itself back into action this Saturday night (12th Oct) at the Basura Blanca club, downstairs in the caveaux of Glasgow's colourful Brunswick Hotel on Brunswick Street in the Merchant City. Tonight see's the return of Wolf Music to The Berkeley Suite as the Wolf Music bosses, Matt and Stu, once again set out to turn the Glasgow venue into a den of sweat and awesome house music. After giving the world the likes of Medlar, Greymatter and Bicep, Wolf Music and putting down a storming set at The Berkeley Suite last year, the demand for Matt and Stu has went through the roof, with them playing to packed dancefloors all across Europe. On their return to Glasgow, they've brought along special guest KRL, who, in his first time in Glasgow, is keen to match the boys energy with his hip hop, soul and disco inspired set. Disco deviants Horse Meat Disco make a welcome return to Glasgow's Berkeley Suite tomorrow night (Saturday 31st August). Now approaching their tenth year of existence, the four man dj club collective Horse Meat Disco have continued to lead the way in the disco field with packed residencies at their HQ Eagle London in London's inner city Vauxhall, Cielo and verious venues in New York, Prince Charles in Berlin and Silencio/Wanderlust in Paris. Inspired by the music and inclusive ethos of New York's heady club scene in the 80s & 90s the collective have garnered a unique reputation for throwing amazing parties with unmatchable sets. English electronic music duo and all-around force of nature in the dance scene, Basement Jaxx, made a welcome return this weekend, with the leak of their new track 'What A Difference Your Love Makes', a precursor to a forthcoming EP, slated for September. Consisting of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe, Basement Jaxx had been making waves in the underground house scene all through the early and mid 90's with their regular club nights in Brixton which featured guests such as DJ Sneak and Daft Punk. In 1999, the duo released their first full length album titled 'Remedy' which featured the widely popular singles 'Red Alert' and 'Rendez-Vu'. Their second full length 'Rooty', released in 2001, led to the groups first international hit with the single 'Where's Your Head At?', in part due to its inclusion on the Tomb Raider soundtrack. Music Monday - Burn Monday's at Buff club

Glasgow DJ's Normski and Mash are gonna be tearing it up tonight at one of Buff Club's best regular club nights. 15 years ago, the decision was taken to create a trade night for all the bar workers who couldn't make it out at the weekends, therefore Monday nights were chosen as they were one of the regular nights off. Fast forward to today, Burn Mondays is one of the most successful and long running club nights in Glasgow and still caters to all those trade workers who are out to party! This Saturday sees Henrik Schwarz debut his renowned Live Show at the Sub Club for Subculture with support as ever from Harri & Dom. Hailing from South Germany and now based in Berlin, Henrik Schwarz has travelled around the globe with his live show which he has built on over the years resulting in him becoming one of the most in demand live acts in electronic music. As well as releases on a number of labels such as Sunday-Music and MOODMUSIC he is also known for his remixes of countless artists ranging from Michael Jackson to DJ HELL. Throughout the years of touring and his countless releases, remixes and work on the Innervisions with Ame and Dixon he has perfected the Henrik Schwarz Live Show which is now renowned for its energy as well as mysterious musicality. Tonight we are most excited about hitting up the Berkley Suite for Disco Deviance Presents: Pete Herbert & Dicky Trisco, another fine addition to the now stellar selection of guests that the Berkley Suite has brought us this year. Others including the likes of Horse Meat Disco, Prins Thomas, Optimo and many more. Pete Herbert and Dicky Trisco are the resident DJ's of the Disco Deviance label. The Disco Deviance label has been one of the main drivers in the recent disco resurgence in the past few years with these two at the forefront behind many of the best selling releases. Their strong DJ partnership and the unique sound, creating a hot blend of   old and new music across a number of different genres has resulted in them travelling to rock parties all over the world from UK festivals to as far a field as Australia and Japan. Going out: Theo Parrish at La Cheetah

Tonight La Cheetah Club plays host to Detroit based house/techno legend Theo Parrish. Theo has been releasing his own distinctive sound that is made up of a blend of Chicago house and elements of Detroit Techno with influences from jazz, hip-hop, funk and disco for almost two decades now. Graduating from the Chicago Academy of the Arts and going on to receive his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1994. Growing up he was heavily influenced by jazz artists such as Miles Davis and Nina Simone, and also stated in a Red Bull Music Academy interview that Stevie Wonder was the beginning of his musical education. As well as releases on Moodyman's KDJ he has released on Sound Signature the label he runs himself which has also seen releases from the likes of Redshape, Kyle Hall, Roman Flugel amongst many many others.
