Noticed the great new LeBron ad that Fraser put up. While this is now a bit old, the best moment of all basketball this season for me (I'll include a Rockets championship in this) is Stuart Tanner, the English streetball presenter and not-half-bad player, vs Devin Harris who is the starting one spot for the Nets and has hung stupid amounts of points on the best NBA teams this year. Harris vs Tanner, in England, for pride. Tanner in the street clothes, Harris in the sweats. And also American, which should help to separate the two. In other ball stuff, much as I love the Boom Tho' stuff on Rod Benson's blog , Big Benson directed his readers to the blog of Gabe Muoneke (try saying that while eating.) Muoneke is a former NBA bench guy, now playing in China. Quick mention and congratulations to our frequent shoppers, the Scottish Rocks basketball team . Scotland's only professional basketball side (from a nation this athletic and tall?) are now top of the professional BBL after eight wins out of ten. Several of the players visit Fat Buddha regularly and are amongst our most friendly customers. Even if we can't quite get all those sneakers they want and XXL is not available in everything. Anyway, the team are getting good attendances, good results and hopefully basketball will soon overtake referee related coin throwing as the 4 th largest sport in Scotland. For anyone who has seen me play sport, any sport, I apologise. I really am so sorry. My sport playing days(which have notably disappeared since leaving school many moons ago) were a travesty for anyone watching. At every sport, I have exactly the same routine, pattern, style, whatever we'll call it-erratic (i.e. a stunning behind the back pass in basketball is followed a minute later with breaking my own ankles while dribbling), temperamental (a well won penalty by my team's star striker is ruined by my fifty yard sprint to square up to the defender that gave it away) and so lacking in any fitness programme that Diego Maradona at his Brando- esque weight would have questioned my cholesterol levels. In short, I am not the sporting type. However, like everyone else, I love to celebrate after, say, a great goal. Or a nice three pointer.
