Yup, oops i did it again, married my Irish girlfriend, shes the new Mrs Docherty, she must have done spomething really bad in a past life to get stuck with me for life, well to be fair 70% of marriages end in divorce so if shes lucky she'll get par9ole and be out in 5 years, ha. Wedding was in Quesada (espanol) and was attended by the whole Docherty clan, below are some photos, of Siobhan (gorgeous), my daughter Lhanna and my youngest nephew Calvin, getting taught how to be superman. Travel is great, get to fly to all manner of cool exotic places, been to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Vegas, London & Hamburg, this time it was the home of Black Sabbath and Saxon the brummie rockers. Birmingham is the conference capital of England, and to this fine city me and Gill my sis went, Autumn fair had got us down there. Flying down on monday morn was a relief as last time we took a 5hr car journey which was long and crap, even better since the flights only cost £85 for 2 returns. Show was average, best thing we seen was the floodlight, a table lamp with 6 bulbs, it will be avialable in November and the best bit is it only costs £60, we have ordered 6 of them so dont take to long as i reckon they wont last long. Also check out the gun lamp, only £25, as is the robot lamp below, all due in the same time. Hi Everyone Like the others this will be a short and sweet posting. Me and the Skater Team are jetting off to Espana this afternoon for a well deserved break. We defo need sun and Sangria! Well I do anyway! So been hectic here packing, organising Euros etc. Boys wanting to take skateboards but they won't fit in the overhead locker so managed to persuade them to take PSP's instead! They much more portable. Will be back in a fortnight with the wedding news ! The boys got their haircut so won't be so warm in the sun!!! Mark here, now back in New York. Was in Chicago at the weekend to visit some of a friend's friends and get a feel for the city while the famous Chicago Air and Water show was on. Once again, I offer several apologies for this blog-no Recon store coverage due to it once again being closed (what hours do these artist types keep?) and no photos due to my USB card adaptor breaking... So Chicago didn't start well. Up at 4-30am for the flight that was then delayed by forty five minutes thanks to the crew being late. The sight of said crew sauntering up to the desk as if they were going to get a cup of tea was particularly galling. We were staying, courtesy of my mate Graeme "The Inspektah" West and his online bargain hunting, at the Hilton in Chicago-the original Hilton and very historical. Mark here. Leaving a week today for Brooklyn, NYC and cannot wait. Be a shame to be away from everyone for August but...I am going to New York. I suppose that's a consolation. Anyway, I'll be blogging on fatbuddhastore.blogspot.com while I'm over there about a mix of things: New York streetlife , fashion, gigs, basketball and much more jibberish . Thought I'd introduce a little bit of the area where I'm staying-Crown Heights. Above you can see classic examples of "brownstone" style housing common in much of Brooklyn, particularly Crown Heights. Most of this housing was built in the 1880s when Crown Heights was a very affluent area. White flight hit it hard through the 20 th century and it turned into a no-go area for several decades. Now it's regenerating slowly but surely and the diversity of the people coupled with the great but cheap housing means it's surely going to be a great area to live in.
