We have so many little hidden gems in our store that sometimes it is easy to miss the smaller things. Mr Men and Little Miss products fall into this category. Everyone, from all ages remembers the Mr Men so we can all remember them and we all know people you can match up to existing Mr Men or Little Miss characters, making them ideal for little gifts. Hidden in amongst our display in store are stacks of mugs, cards, keyrings and cuddly toys featuring the best Mr Men and Little Miss characters.

The Lake District, first time visitor, spent last weekend holed up in a rather snug Addict X Vango tent from a few seasons ago.  Maisie the shop dog seemed to enjoy it. Lots of good walks and can recomend the campsite Parkfoot we stayed at, also taught a young German kid how to play frisbee, doing my bit for international relations. The photos don't really do it justice but Penrith is a nice town, closes Sunday (good good) and seems to have a good selection of independant retailers (even better).  So next time you have the weekend off, give The Lake District a visit, it wont disappoint and the walking will do you good, ive manged to shift 20lbs in just under a month, just another 17lbs to go

Be@rbrick is a collectible toy designed and produced by the Japanese company MediCom Toy Incorporated. The name is derived from the fact that the figure is a cartoon- style representation of a bear , and that it is a variation of MediCom's Kubrick design. The at sign in the place of the letter a is a visual device that is a part of the Be@rbrick brand , and as such, a trademark of MediCom Toy. The figure is an anthropomorphized bear with an extremely simplified form and a pot belly. Each plastic figure features nine parts (widely referred to as tools in the toy industry): head , torso , hips , arms , hands , and legs ; These nine tools allow eight points of articulation : swivel head, swivel waist , ball-joints arms, swivel wrists , and ball joint legs. Got chatting with a first time customer in the shop today - he's been in Glasgow for a couple of years yet only just came across us today. Turns out he's a pretty well known street dancer and choreographer called Ron Bedeau, all the way from Canada. He teaches various classes throughout the Greater Glasgow area as well as perfoming himself. You can find out more about him and what he can do on his website . Founded in the early 1990's by Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto, the company is primarily known for its print design. The principle commercial activity of the company is womenswear fashion and accessories. EASTPAK and ELEY KISHIMOTO collaborated on a range of bags featuring the 'Flash' design.
