Converse x Futura - Footwear

Last week we had a brief look at Converse's recent collaboration with Brooklyn-based artist Futura on a range of footwear and apparel. Today we look a little closer at the two sneaker silhouettes that have dropped as part of the collection. 

Aesthetically these sneakers combine Converse's iconic silhouette, the Chuck Hi & Chuck Lo, with Futura's iconic abstract art style. Futura's signature art work can be found along the veneering and weatherized full rubber upper along with the camo-printed ripstop underlays and reflective laces. Each pair even includes a second set of specially designed footbeds, complete with Lunarlon cushioning. Prototypical Converse's features like the vulcanised sole unit and tongue branding mean these shoes still retain an easily identifiable Converse silhouette.
