New Brand - Barts

The story of Barts started in the summer of 1986 when Bart sold his hand-sewn swim shorts along the beaches of St. Tropez. It proved to be a big hit. One of the girls helping him out wrapped a piece of fabric around her head to protect herself from the sun and soon people asked if they could buy this cool bandana. From that moment Bart started to focus on headwear. And only a few years later the brand Barts was born. Three decades later Barts is the outdoor accessory brand for adults and kids in Europe, with over 3.000 selling points.

Barts is specialized in high quality fashion accessories for men, women and kids. They’re based in Amsterdam and design accessories to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer because Barts believes that life starts outside. From trendy beanies and hand-knitted scarves to cool backpacks – every piece is unique. Even after twenty-five years, their designers keep surprising almost every day with funky ideas, original combinations and unconventional thinking to transform functional accessories into something special. When that happens, we know we’re on the right track.
All their winter and summer accessories start with an idea. A simple sketch or doodle on a piece of paper. While ideas are everywhere they are brought to life by creative minds, day dreamers or those who need just a little bit of inspiration to create something new.
It’s that simple, but not that easy. At Barts, they are proud to say they have found a great group of these people. A family of talented designers and graphic artists who love the  product and who keep looking for fresh ideas and opportunities everywhere they go. If the team are riding bikes through the heart of Amsterdam, travelling the globe, watching movies or skiing down snowy slopes, it’s their mission to transform what they see into original items that make people smile.
