Blog Review

Image
Thought id take the time and start to share some of my fave blogs and websites, i reviewed cotton petal a while ago, now its time for DJBigAlTV.com . Good blog from Al who Dj's down at Karbon at the weekend, had a look at the website http://www.karbonuk.co.uk/ , seems to be filled with the beautiful folk indeed, dont think id get in. Als Blog deals with films and his latest purchases, Nike Airmax Infrared (bas***d), i love those shoes, you can see an old skool theme in his film choices, from Ghostbusters to Waynes World. Als trusty companion is the lovely Lena, Hi to Lena, Lena is a firm believer in Daiquiri's, she once used one to end third world poverty. She also believes that children are the future and she wants to treat them well and let them lead the way, she wants to show them all the beauty they possess inside. So ad http://www.djbigalltv.com/ to your faves list and check back for regular updates.

Zoo York

Image
Zoo York was the surprise hit for the store this summer, 95% sell through at full price, great stuff when you compare it with Addict 26% & MHI 15%, indeed quite a difference. Price is obviously a key seperator, Zoo York T's all come in at £20 against £30/£40 but the prints on Zoo York T's were really strong. Just been to see the range for next summer and its the best range ive seen out of all the brands we have coming in, not just T's, Sweats, Zippers, Hoodies, Shirts, Jackets & Hats. We have a limited drop of Zoo York coming into us in August so when it drops do not sleep on it as we only have 1 of a size coming in. It began in the early '70s in the undisputed center of the universe, New York City. Championed by a tight-knit crew of progressive minds who lived and breathed NYC's raw creative energy, a unique social movement began to take root that was strongly influenced by NYC's unforgiving streets and colorful weave of global flavors. The Soul Artist...

PUMA Coming Soon'ish

Image
Hi, Decided to try a few pieces of Puma footwear, not entirely convinced its as good as it was a few years back but the cabana racer & RS100 are good looking shoes, next years range is pretty top stuff, good use of materials and some nice variations of the Clyde shoe. So watch this space and pop into store to see the puma shoes.  Right thought id treat you to a lil bit of Puma info, brought to from the site that is Wikepedia , now that is some resource, so much info all in the one place, fab. History Gebrüder Dassler Schuhfabrik Christoph Dassler was a worker in Big Dogs shoe factory, while his wife Pauline ran a small laundry in the Bavarian town of Herzogenaurach , 20 kilometres from the city of Nuremberg . Their son Rudolf Dassler after leaving school joined his father at the shoe factory, and was then called up to fight in World War I . On his return from the front, Rudolf took a management position at a porcelain factory, and later in a leather wholesale business in Nure...

Banner82 attack

Well, this week has seen us become victim to a nefarious SQL injection attack, those pesky folk hacking websites, brought our site down. My web guy asked me had i pissed anyone off or had any enemies that would want to bring the site down. Well, it was easier to work out who my friends were rather than enemies. So site is back, re-coded it, changed data input, stuck on some padlocks for good measure and we are back in action. http://www.experts-exchange.com/ , this is one heck of a site, the knowledge level here is pretty high and provided us with a starting point to fixing the site, but to be fair Brian at http://www.brianwatson.co.uk/ came up with his own take on hte matter and fixed the thing
