Music Monday
Last week saw the release of friend of the shop Brian D'Souza aka Auntie Flo's Remixed EP. The two track EP features Pearson Sound's bass heavy take on "Oh My Days" which boomkat describes as having a focus on the "tight, skippy percussive lilt and bumping subs". The other is mutual friend of the label and recent newcomer SOPHIE's standout version of "Highlife" which takes the song on a much more bright percussion heavy route.
Auntie Flo is a Glasgow based producer/DJ who holds residencies at Glasgow's Sub Club with Highlife and London's Plastic People with Huntleys and Palmers. Auntie Flo is a real talent to look out for in 2012 and we are very excited for the release of his debut album Future Rhythm Machine. This year is really looking to be a good one for him and we recommend if you get the chance to go and catch him, he will be playing at several festivals throughout the summer from Lovebox in London to Dimensions Festival in Croatia.
