New Banksy in LA - Better Out Than In

Image
A new piece of work by British street artist Banksy has appeared in Los Angeles. Titled Better Out Than In , the piece uses the surrounding environment to depict a young graffiti artist throwing up flowers. The English artist has remained rather quiet since his last piece right before London’s Olympics shown below. The piece seems to allude to an upcoming series or show of the same name, judging by the text via his website . Details are few at the moment but we’re sure you'll hear all about it soon enough

DJ Nu-Mark Huf Volley 5 Panel

Image
After our post yesterday about the Jurassic 5 gig in Glasgow's O2 Academy, we spotted DJ Nu-Mark live on stage sporting the ever popular Huf Volley 5 Panel Hat that we stock here at Fat Buddha Store . Jurassic 5's live show was outstanding, with some great moments thrown in from DJ Nu-Mark and Cut Chemist, and some of the best MC work you will ever encounter at a live show. After looking on the net, we spotted a few images of him rocking this great 5 Panel ha t from Huf . You can check out the images below. HUF is the creation of Professional Skateboarder, Keith Hufnagel who in 2002 decided to open up a shop that brought the types of skateboard lifestyle apparel and footwear that he was used to in his native NYC to San Francisco where he was living at the time.  Over the years HUF evolved from shop to brand and is now a highly respected skateboard company. You can browse the full range here .

Music Monday - Haim

Image
New group Haim have been making a lot of waves in the music industry as of late. The trio of sisters from California - Este, Danielle and Alana Haim - have been quietly playing and recording music together since 2006, but it wasn't until 2012 that they decided to release anything. The three sisters are all incredibly musical, all proficient in multiple instruments and all had experience in bands prior to their coming together to form Haim and are now slated as one of the ones to watch in 2013. Haim had played a handful of shows supporting artists such as Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros and The Henry Clay People and then went on to release their first EP entitled 'Forever', a release which saw the music press go crazy for their unique r&b meets folk sound. Following a successful gig at South by Southwest, the group were signed to Polydor Records and they went on to re-release the 'Forever' EP on vinyl. They also received favourable review...
