Dressers The Book

On Monday 2nd July we will see the release of the Dressers book, available in store and online. 80's lads culture, One up-manship, football fashion, music and everything else linked with the Scottish soccer casual scene in the 80's, Dressers has it. The book is a social history of young working class culture as it chronicles the rise of one of Scotland's original casual groups. As well as covering and charting the fashion pioneered by the group from Italian sportswear to baggy rave gear it also gives us a view from the time on the terraces, therave scene and the real stories behind the headlines. Over 200 pages in colour featuring personal accounts of events, over 500 photographs, all of the fashion and everything else from the Scottish 80's casual scene. The book is available to pre order online  here and will be in store Monday.

Kate Upon For Spanish Vogue

American model and actress Kate Upton has just done a fantastic shoot for Spanish Vogue with acclaimed photographer Miguel Reveriego. Kate is best know for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, first in 2011 and then in 2012 as the cover model. She has gone on to model for brands such as Victoria's Secret, to being shot by photographers such as . Terry Richardson . Converse - All Star Hi - Black Denim

Some new Converse just arrived instore just in time for the summer months ahead. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star in a new Black Denim colourway looks great, and sports a great fabric finish, with Tan leather details bursting through.  Marquis Mills Converse opened the Converse Rubber Shoe Company in Malden, Massachusetts in February 1908. The company was a rubber shoe manufacturer, providing winterized rubber soled footwear for men, women, and children. By 1910, Converse was producing 4,000 shoes daily, but it was not until 1915 that the company began manufacturing athletic shoes for tennis. The company's main turning point came in 1917 when the Converse All-Star basketball shoe was introduced. Then in 1921, a basketball player named Charles H. UK based Slovenian Nightwave , formerly known as 8Bitch is someone that many of you may already know by now and if you don't you are sure to find out this year. A close friend of the Glasgow based Lucky Me collective, Nightwave makes electronic music, DJ's and is also a vocalist (she recently collaborated with her boyfriend Rustie on his album track Surf). A real multi talented individual she has also done some acting in her time including parts in UK Police drama The Bill. She is also a Judo champion! With a few releases under her belt on the likes of labels such as  Svetlana Industries and Unknown to the Unknown which has helped put her on the radar in the dance music scene. The new Death From Above 6 Panel Volley hat from famous San Francisco brand HUF has just arrived instore at Fat Buddha Store.
