This Saturday Harri & Domenic are delighted that Miss Honey Dijon is joining them once again for another generous and jacking Subculture jam down. The Chi town native plays some of the freshest parties in the world, from the Panorama Bar to A Club Called Rhonda, all the while seducing the masses with her unique mix of disco, house and techno. January has been a strong month for Glasgow icons Harri & Domenic's weekly Subculture at Subclub . The world cup has started and summer is upon us so there is plenty of excuses to get yourself out this weekend. You can get your samba on at Subculture's very own carnival between midnight and 3a.m for a mere £5 and you can also get a sly free entry if you can name the 'special password' (the name of their famous Glaswegian-Italo resident DJ)  Subculture will be in the capable hands of residents Harri & Domenic so you can expect a cracking night. If you haven't seen Harri & Domenic then you can't have been out in Glasgow before, they have been putting on amazing nights for years and this Saturday wont be any different.  The night starts at midnight  tonight  so get yourself down for a summer boogie.

One of our favourite labels and one of the best labels around right now has to be Dixon Avenue Basement Jams. It's great to see the guy's behind it Kenny and Dan take to Subculture at Glasgow's Sub Club tomorrow night (Saturday 25th Jan) for what looks set to be an outstanding night of music. Based out of Glasgow, the motto for the labels is “real rockin’ raw shit from the street for the clubs”, and it sums up the imprint to date perfectly. Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, quite frankly, release weird, non standard machine music that spits and splurts, blurts and bleats all kinds of alien patterns, hooks and melodies into your ears and has done with every single one of its EP's so far. After the huge success of the first Sub Club Record Fair & Pop Up Sale Shop event, they are pleased to announce they will be returning on Saturday 3rd August for their second bimonthly event. They invite all record collectors, music lovers to come and join in their celebration of music. Barcelona resident John Talabot's 2010 track 'Sunshine' put him firmly on the DJ world map and he's been on the Subculture radar for a few years. His debut artist album 'fiN' on Permanent Vacation gained rave reviws last year, highlighting a shimmering balearic sensibility so this DJ set will no doubt bring some welcome sunshine to our Scottish summer, if not a permanent vacation. He plays Subculture at Glasgow's famous Sub Club tomorrow night (Sat 20th July) Harri & Domenic are honoured that he is joining them for his Subculture debut. In association with our good friends at the worldly renowned Sub Club in Glasgow and DJ Rebecca Vasmant we are pleased to be setting up a Fat Buddha Pop Up Sale Store during Sat 1st June alongside the record Fair, all housed under the roof of the Sub Club. The record fair looks to be great with a number of local vendors exhibiting. This is set to be a treasure trove for vinyl fiends and with a selection of local DJ’s soundtracking the goings on. This is already promising to turn into an unmissable hangout for the cities regular revelers. Bringing together local labels who will be selling their wares, and individuals peddling second hand records, t hink along the lines of an Independent Label Market meets your favorite second hand record shop.  In brief, this is pretty much the best way we can think of to while away a Saturday afternoon. This Saturday see's the joining of forces between legendary Sub Club and Glasgow's best streetwear store Fat Buddha Store .   Sub Club have been an institution on the Glasgow club scene for the past 25 years and have played host to some of the worlds hottest dance acts and club nights.   On Saturday night Sub Club's Subculture event plays host to The Revenge and Ali Ooft alongside resident DJ's Harri and Domenic. The Revenge has been producing music for the best part of 15 years and is involved in a multitude of different projects both in the studio and his recent live tour which has seen him travel across the world.     He will be joined on the night by Ali, the mastermind behind Ooft Music, Foto Recordings, Midnight Marauders and much more. 2012 has definitely been Bicep’s year. It's only been a short time (well 4 years this month) since Bicep first appeared on the scene, first as a blog , now as a DJing and production team as well as launching their own record label recently. On Saturday night (24th Nov) the Irish production duo,make their Subculture debut at Glasgow's famous Sub Club alongside two of our favourite DJ's, Harri & Domenic . Fresh from closing the season for We Love at Space in Ibiza as well as being invited to host Fabric London’s recent birthday celebrations the guy's have been extremly busy. Well it's that time of the week again and it looks like it's Subculture at the Sub Club for us once more as they'll be hosting Chicago legend Lil Louis. Regarded as one of the founding fathers of house music Lil Louis has pioneered the way for Chicago House music, well known in the 80's for his massive club tune "French Kiss" and being one of the first house artists to release music on a major label. With DJ sets that have known for being as versatile as his productions expect to be schooled on house music and to have a a great time. As ever Glasgow top dogs Harri and Dom will be supporting. This Saturday sees Henrik Schwarz debut his renowned Live Show at the Sub Club for Subculture with support as ever from Harri & Dom. Hailing from South Germany and now based in Berlin, Henrik Schwarz has travelled around the globe with his live show which he has built on over the years resulting in him becoming one of the most in demand live acts in electronic music. As well as releases on a number of labels such as Sunday-Music and MOODMUSIC he is also known for his remixes of countless artists ranging from Michael Jackson to DJ HELL. Throughout the years of touring and his countless releases, remixes and work on the Innervisions with Ame and Dixon he has perfected the Henrik Schwarz Live Show which is now renowned for its energy as well as mysterious musicality. Available online by the end of the week we have the latest drop from OBEY, including some of the collab pieces with the Keith Haring foundation. Keith Haring, who was a massive influence on OBEY founder Shepard Fairey, was a contemporary artist based in New York in the 70's and 80's. In the 80's his art took him to a level of international fame and he was then also was known as an activist and public figure. His work was a strong example of early downtown New York graffiti subculture and devoted much of his time to public works. In 1988 he was diagnosed with the HIV virus and established the Keith Haring foundation in 1989 to provide funding and imagery to AIDS organisations and childrens programmes. In 1990 he sadly passed away but his legacy lives on in his art and his foundation. The Keith Haring Eyes sweat and tee from OBEY are a collaboration with the foundation using one of Haring's most popular images.

Glasgow's world renowned undergound dance club Sub Club plays host to long time favourites and friends of Subculture, Kink & Neville Watson returning since their last visist in 2010 for their very special live show. Supporte comes from the one and only Domenic Cappello. Since their debut as a musical partnership at the Sub Club in 2010, Kink and Neville Watson have since taken the raw energy of their music out live on the road, tearing up the dancefloors across Europe and beyond. With their imminent debut album coming out on Rush Hour, this live show on Saturday will demonstrate their joint love for the old sounds of Chicago, Detroit and much more along the way.  Check out this exclusive mix they did for Subculture in preparation for tonight's party.
