Outfit of the Week - Asics, Carhartt WIP, Patagonia

This week's look features two of Autumn/Winter biggest trends camo print and layered down. The camo trend has been around for a while and is still going strong on brands like Carhartt WIP and Bape while layered down emerged on the Japanese and Scandinavian market through brands such as the North Face Purple Label and Norse Projects along with more technical minded brands such as Patagonia and Lacoste Live. We love these trends so much we thought we would marry them in this weeks outfit grid.

Starting the look off is the beautiful Michigan Chore Coat from Carhartt WIP in their signature camo duck. Full camo print can sometimes overpower a garment but thanks to the classic fit, complimentary gold buttons and a subtle black collar the balance on this number is just right. So to the next trend, layered down. Under the Carhartt jacket we have used Patagonia's Hi-Loft Down Jacket as the inner layer, the key to pulling off this trend is not to think of it as two jackets but two layers. On paper this may seem excessive but having being exposed to the trend this season we can see how well it works and we're also blessed with the weather here in Scotland to pull it off. Team this look with an understated t-shirt like this Base T-Shirt from Carhartt WIP in crisp white.

For trousers we have selected the regular straight legged Skill Pants also from Carhartt WIP, the fit keeps the look contemporary and not over-done. The footwear comes from Asics's "After Hour" pack and features their signature Gel Lyte III in a green and black colourway that compliments the look's colour palette. The final item pulling the entire look together is Carhartt WIP's Watch Bag again in their camo duck print.

All the products featured in this week's look are available in store and online at Fat Buddha Store. Check out the product details below:

From Carhartt WIP comes this Michigan Chore Coat a slightly more heavy weight jacket for the colder months. Coming in camo duck with gold buttons it features a paired down corduroy top collar and is finished off with a woven branding box to the left chest pocket.

The Hi-Down Jacket from Patagonia is like their signature Down Sweater, only warmer. Built with a lightweight 100% polyester ripstop shell which is fully insulated with 100% traceable 600-fill-power duck down which combines to create an exceptionally cosy and comfortable jacket. The Carhartt Skill pant is a robust, straight legged garment which uses triple stitching around the seams for unrivaled durability. As well as triple stitched seams, the Skill pant also features bartack stitching around the key stress areas for increased longevity making this Carhartt item solid wardrobe staple.

Surprisingly it can be quite difficult to get a plain t-shirt right but as usual Carhartt have it covered in the form of the Base tee. Made from a soft jersey cotton, the Base tee delivers a premium wardrobe staple that won't warp or contort when washed. Subtle Carhartt branding can be found printed near the hem.

ASICS have dropped the "After Hours" pack which celebrates late nights in a collection that consists of two tonal shades in their iconic (and ever popular) Gel Lyte III retro runner silhouette. The dual tonal shades make use of premium leather and nubuck all sitting atop an interesting speckled midsole. Shown here in deep green with a nubuck toebox and black hits to the rubber outsole, laces, and speckled GEL-cushioned midsole. A textural mix of smooth nubuck and perforated leather add an extra dimension to these Gel Lyte III's while all the prototypical features (split tongue/cushioned midsole) are still evident.
