Converse - Spring/Summer 2015

Converse have dropped four new editions of their classic styles for Spring/Summer 2015. Classic shapes such as the Chuck Taylor OX and 70s Hi Boot have returned in an array of new materials and colour options.

The latest drop sees three new variations of Converse's classic Chuck Taylor 70s Ox in Imperial blue canvas along with black and white leather editions. These models may look strikingly similar to their original 1970s counterparts but true sneaker aficionados will notice a few key modifications such as added cushioning, a studier toebox and higher rubber foxing along the sole unit. The shoes have not dispensed however with classic detailing such as the iconic license plate on the heel, defined stitching and signature vulcanised sole. An upgrade is also evidenced in the use of materials with the imperial blue option being constructed from a premium canvas while the other models feature fine leather uppers.

The other new shoe, the Chuck Taylor 70s Hi, also gets the same treatment with higher rubber foxing, a lot more cushioning on the footbed and a more defined toe box. Again this updated edition retains all the classic Converse features with its signature license plate to the heel and it's pronounced stitching. An icy grey colourway of Wild Dove sit atop an off white midsole with complimentary white laces.

While retaining the identity of their 70s originals true sneaker fans should enjoy the subtle upgrades on Converse's classic models.
