Going out - Highlife 2nd Birthday

This month saw friend of the store Auntie Flo release his debut album Future Rhythm Machine.  Auntie Flo is a Glasgow based producer/DJ who holds residencies at Glasgow's Sub Club with Highlife and London's Plastic People with Huntleys and Palmers.  Auntie Flo is a real talent to look out for in 2012 and we are very excited for the release of his debut album Future Rhythm Machine. This year is really looking to be a good one for him and we recommend if you get the chance to go and catch him, he will be playing at several festivals throughout the summer from Lovebox in London to Dimensions Festival in Croatia.

This Sunday Highlife will be taking over the Subclub once more to celebrate their second birthday this time with a special Afro Noise theme. Joining Auntie Flo and Esa in the celebrations will be William Bennet with his Cut Hands project. Cut Hands creates a unique sound unlike any you have ever heard beforeusing original African percussion instruments as the source. According to the event page it may "make you feel physically sick, it will probably make you feel alive and it will almost certainly be like nothing you've heard before" sounds exciting!

There will also be cake, so get down and celebrate Highlife style. Standard.
