Puma Shadow Society

The Shadow Society project from Puma is a collection of tastemakers, Puma afficionados and bigtime sneakerheads who have been brought together to redefine some classic Puma styles and along the way redefine the meaning of a collab.

The Shadow Society were given complete control of this seasons items from the bottom up, selecting styles, fabrics, colourways and branding.
Reaching into Puma's storied archive, the Shadow Society has selected some cracking pieces and injected some new life into them. This drop features fresh takes on the ZDC82 and R698, both featuring premium craftmanship, fabrics and colours and each coming with the higly coveted Shadow Society leather lace bags containing premium laces.

In 1982, PUMA introduced the ZDC82 silhouette: an outdoor trainer with a slightly thicker, more cushioned midsole that was quickly adopted by athletes and joggers alike. The Shadow Society’s update features rough cut suede and striking colour blocking which evokes images of the 80’s as well as brilliantly complimenting the ZDC82’s unique and aggressive rubber outsole tread pattern whilst was designed to tackle any outdoor terrain.

In the 90s, PUMA added to the running revolution with Trinomic motion control technology. The R698 Runner fused Trinomic with a chunky EVA outsole and plenty of cushioning for a smooth ride. This version is re-imagined with athletic breathable mesh and premium suede overlays, and underlined by a translucent gum outsole.

The Shadow Society Backpack features a durable 900 D brushed polyester and padded shoulder straps with grip handles. Inspired by the bags of yesteryear, it boasts vintage, natural tan leather trims and an embossed badge. A hiking inspired drawstring closure system and retractable sides mean you can change the shape of the bag to suit your needs. It’s rounded out with a few modern, practical touches including a high gloss printed base and padded laptop pocket.

The three apparel pieces feature premium materials and a variety of subtle Shadow Society badges and insignia. The long-sleeved shirt has sport influenced stitching and tonal details, set off by another athletic nod with rear venting and button fastening. The t-shirt is decked out with a tonal chain stitch across the back neck and shoulder with a arresting logo print. And finally, the carbon coated jacket draws on performance led aesthetics with a reversed zip and hood to help you stay every bit as incognito as its anonymous makers.
This collection will be hitting the store on Monday, so be on the look out!
