20 Years Of Rubadub Records
Glasgow Institution Rubadub records celebrates 20 years in the business this weekend. The independant record store has been supplying the needs of Glasgow's diggers, vinyl junkies, and music heads for the last two decades now. The shop first opened it's doors to the public in August 1992 selling underground dance music vinyl to the good people of Scotland and beyond. Since then they have grown into a company that sells music, recording equipment, DJ gear and all the latest in music technology. Not to mention distributing vinyl to other record stores all over the world!
The store stock a wide selection of music ranging from Techno, House, Dubstep, Disco, Hip-Hop, Reggae, Rock, Funk, Soul, Jazz and all it’s variants.
In equipment they stock products from bigger brands like Native Instruments, M-Audio, Akai, Novation, Pioneer, Sennheiser, KRK, Genelec, Shure, Rode, Adam Audio, Korg, Moog Music, Presonus and Dave Smith Instruments as well as focusing on unusual, niche products from boutique companies like Elektron, Analogue Solutions, Neumann, Jomox, Doepfer and MFB.
Whether you’re a vinyl lover, digital DJ, bedroom producer, singer-songwriter, drummer, or run a professional studio, Rubadub welcomes and caters for all. They are staffed by friendly and knowledgeable music lovers who would be happy to talk you through everything from your first midi controller, audio interface, the best in studio monitors, a complex analogue synthesiser or, of course, the very latest house or techno twelve inch.
It's gonna be an intimate night filled with the finest music from
Rubadub's history played to you by the guys who have been buying and
selling it since 92 and beyond...
They will also be having an all
day party in store throughout the day, with deals on records and
equipment as well as some special guests dropping in to spin some tunes.
They would love to see as many of you guys come down and help them celebrate as much as possible, from the young team to the older guys and girls who have [almost] hung up their dancing shoes due to kids, marriage, respectable jobs etc :)
The club night kicks off at 11pm in Club 69 (40 New Sneddon St, Paisley) and is £5 to get in.
